This is the book of the genealogy of Adam (Gen 5:1). The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: 2 Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers (Matt 1:1-2).
Genealogy is defined as a descent from an original lineage; connection to the first. Over and over will you read of the importance of CONNECTIONS in the Bible. Truth must be connected with the right voice. Jesus said, “You Pharisees are like your father the devil and there is NO truth in him” (Jn 8:44).
WHY; Because Prophecy can only come through Connections. “Word of the Lord came precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little” (Is 28:10. We cannot get salvation from a bird, a flower or cow. Salvation must come through Jesus Christ. Truth cannot come from a Newspaper or Novel. Truth can only come through the Bible. CONNECTIONS
Prophecy came through CONNECTIONS of truth. God Connections cannot break & start back up from a lie. Genealogy that is to say, Connections are essential. Your DNA defines your LIFE connections. Your DNA defines where you came from.
Whether you are dealing with Politics, the Media, Wall Street, Penthouse Banking Moguls, Hollywood or Music Industry of Nashville: It’s not WHAT you know but WHO you know that will open doors for you.
No one really knows Ananias of Damascus, Syria, right outside of Joppa; but we all know Paul the Apostle. It was Ananias who baptized Paul. We may not have known Ananias, but Ananias had CONNECTIONS. Ananias introduced Paul to Barnabas who introduced Paul to Peter, James & John; and that’s how Paul got into the ministry.
What is the most prestigious restaurant in the world; The most powerful, the most known, or the most economically viable? Is it Aragawa in Tokyo; he most expensive restaurant in the world? You’ve never heard of it even though their entrée’s start near $500 a plate. No, the most powerful, economic, & most known restaurant in the world is McDonalds.
Why? Because there is only ONE Aragawa, but there are over 30,000 McDonalds. Yes, Aragawa can seat 100’s while McDonalds will seat only 30-50. However, McDonalds is a “Chain – Franchise” a fancy way of saying CONNECTIONS.
Our connections are the link to where ever we desire to go and whatever we desire to do. God has ordained connections to link us to the right people in the right place at the right time. This is one of the fundamental reasons why it matters who we hang out with and who we align ourselves with. Our connections determine who we become and how we live our lives. Take great care in how and who you foster your connections.

2012 YEAR OF NETWORK

I want to officially welcome you to 2012. This is going to be an exciting year. It is my belief that we will look back 20 years from now; your children will look back 40 years from now; and your grandchildren will look back 50 years from now with amazement
They will wish that they were YOU sitting where you’re sitting now with the greatest opportunity you have NOW. I’m telling you we are in the Times History will record as the greatest opportunity surpassing the Post Depression of Culture, Personal, Economic & Business BOOM.
YES, we are in the worse time of our generation: But as God would say it; “Where sin abounds, God’s Provision does MUCH MORE abounds” Rom 5:20. I’m telling you – the Seed changes that has taken place over the past 20 years has created a field of opportunity unlike ever before. Now is the time, this is it. Do not delay a day – “Today is the day, NOW is the time for change” (2Cor 6:2). This is a prophetic year.
Not only are we experiencing the tectonic plate shift of an ending Era, the crumbling of an Industrial age corporate structures & Monolithic systems, Dethroning those who had power & control: Whipping the board clean & putting everything back up for Grabs. The Internet, Google, World info at your fingertips from the Star Track- Dick Tracy techno gadgets have empowered YOU with the ability that the Elites exclusively had
We are now wired to every individual human in the world. No one has exclusive to markets or distribution channels. We all have access to all at the tip of our fingers. Your local community is not your potential marketplace, the entire world is: instantly 24 hours a day- 7 days a week. The playing field is FLAT of opportunity and the game has only begun. BUT you have to get in the GAME.
But here is the catch- YES there is always a catch. You can’t WIN the game alone. You MUST be a part of a TEAM. You must join a NETWORK. A network going where you want to go & becoming what you want to become. All of us have 5, 10, 20, 40 years of experience to PROVE to us what we have done gets us. NOW the “Catch” is to CHANGE positions.
We must get off the SIDE lines, out of the Bleachers and OUT on the PLAYING FIELD if we want to win. Turn off the TV and open your eyes and wake up the dream passion inside of you & do what you’ve been wanting to do your whole life – WIN.
This is why I believe the GAP between the Haves & Have Not is widening. The Gap that divides the “Class- Money- Control- Information- Opportunity” is going to widen. But if you want to, you can step OUTSIDE of the “GAP” systems and WIN. HOW?
JOIN FORCES with those around you who likewise want out of this “Rat Race” and get on the “Highway to Heaven.” The single most powerful tool hidden from all of us for centuries is the POWER OF NETWORKS- TEAMWORK. “What’s gonna work?- TEAMWORK.

SORRY PASTOR, I CAN'T COME

Sorry Pastor, I just don’t have any time to come to church on Wednesday nights. Is that right? O that’s right; You go to the gym three nights a week for two hours, Thursday night out with the boys and Friday night date night and Saturday night is movie nights.

Amazing how cheesy the excuses we offer when we hear them back to ourselves. This reminds me of the story Jesus told: “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, 17 and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come, for all things are now ready.' 18 But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.' 19 And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused. 20 Still another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come” (Luke 14:16-21).

Sad, when Jesus finished telling the story, the end result was that those who made the excuse never made it to the wedding. Worse, the story was a metaphor about preparing your life to go to heaven and the wedding was the “Marriage Supper” (a Bible metaphor for heaven).

The next time someone reminds you about Wednesday night service, whatever you do, do not offer a cheesy excuse. Drop one of the other “none eternal issues” and get to church on a Wednesday night Bible class.

YEAR OF ANOINTING

He, like all other Jewish man who turned thirty, came to the House of God on his first Sabbath after he turned thirty as was the custom of all Jewish men. For as long as seemingly time would tell, the Hebraic teaching offered the standard that a male child who was born, stayed under his mother’s care until he turned twelve. Then he would shift his tutorage from his mother to his father. The boy would then learn his father’s trade and learn the art of leadership through submission, responsibility, accountability and productivity.

When this same “boy” would come of age – 30, he would then be recognized as an independent grown, trained man who would then chose to become what he had dreamed of and felt he was born to do. Whether this career was following his father’s occupation or not, he had the power to choose – but only if it were in connection with the dream and vision he held his whole life. Some young Hebrew man would choose a field that was rejected and questioned by his family such as Joseph, Elisha, David and John the Baptist. But the choice was there’s.

When Jesus walked into the temple that day as all Hebrew men who turned thirty, he was about to decree his purpose and calling in life to his family and the world. The Hebrew boys were taught that there was a Bible verse that could describe their very reason and calling in life. Many would find one and memorize it and quote it to others for years, while some would keep it to themselves till that day in the Temple when they would announce it to their people.

The Temple Priest would offer the men who turned thirty the opportunity to come to the podium and read their verse and expound on what the purpose in life held for them. Unlike the bar mitzvah at age 12, this “Manhood” declaration was no party, simply a decree. When Jesus walked to the podium that day, he opened the Bible to Isaiah 61 and read, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach…” His decree was to the point, He was born to preach, heal, save, deliver and set free all those incarcerated by sin.

We here at Promiseland (formally Bible Truth) Church are celebrating our Anniversary this month. We’re finishing our 30th year of Spiritual birth and moving into our defined calling. Promiseland is now a grown man. No longer can we sit back and allow Mom or Dad to decide for us. No longer can we simply wish life were better. No longer can we sit by dreaming of what it could be like. Today, we must walk to the podium and declare to the world what WORK we will give our lives to accomplish.

Like Jesus, we all were born to die for a cause. What cause is yours? What burden compels you? What dream awakens you? What passion moves you forward daily? From Promiseland beginning, we knew we were not here to follow the model of a “normal” church. We exist to get into the dirty ditches of sin, sickness, brokenness and failure and pull men and women from the clutches of hell. We came into this world to fight the devil for souls. Our voice would become their voice. Our ears would hear God for them. Our hands would be the hands of God to touch them. Our eyes would gain the revelations of God and explain them. PROMISELAND, this year is our Year of Anointing.

A NEW BIKE
I was visiting a friend in their home one afternoon. While I was talking to them, their four-year-old little girl, Michelle, tugged on my pants leg and excitedly exclaimed, "I got a new bicycle. Do you want to see it?" I said, "Sure, Michelle." So off to the backyard we went. Upon getting there, I saw a brand-new girl's bicycle. "Wow, Michelle! That's a beautiful bicycle, Can you ride it?" "Yeah, I can ride it," she said, and then with a sad face she pouted, "but it's broke." I looked at the new bicycle and couldn't see anything wrong with it, so I asked her, "What's wrong with it?" "I don't know," she shrugged, "but every time I ride it, it falls down!"

FRAGRANCE OF GOD’S PRESENCE

Roger, Jerry, Mark & the rest arrived for the family reunion. They all hadn’t seen each other for more than 2 years. As Jerry walked into the room, little Bobby ran up to give his Uncle Jerry a hug. As Jerry picked Bobby up & hugged him, he looked at him and said, “Boy you smell just like your Uncle Ray. He must have already hugged you; you have his cologne smell on you.” We’ve all been there. Walk into a room from long ago and that same smell brings back memories. I used to be able to walk into my grandmother’s house and tell you who had been there – especially one of my Mom’s friends who used to wear that Wow perfume (when you smell it you said, Wow what is that?) I used to work with a man in Maryland hanging drywall who bathed with a refreshing soap sent; on the construction site in the morning, you knew when he came in one of the condos because you could smell him fifty yards away.

When making the Holy Anointing Oil, God instructed Moses to blend the pure sweet olive oil with a mixture of spices. The perfect blend of the exact weight amount would stir together for a fine perfume aroma that would linger for hours, sometimes days. Moses instructed the priest to use this Holy Anointed Oil to anoint the furniture of the Tabernacle. Upon week after week of use, the certain aromatic blend became associated with the supernatural working of God. Later, upon smelling the sweet aroma of the Holy Anointing Oil, literally everyone began to associate it with the “Fragrance of God.” When Solomon pinned the story about Messiah romancing his bride, Solomon wrote of our Savior “smelling his sweet perfume” (Song 4:10).

When the Bible portrays God to us in similes such as “God’s fragrance” the Bible is merely trying to help us identify with God through our senses. Since we humans are limited inside our bodies, we are forced to understand God through means that our humanity can relate. Thus, when the Bible uses language such as “smell God’s fragrance, See God’s hands at work, feel the touch of His Spirit or hear the voice of God or taste and see the Lord is good;” the Bible is allowing us to understand God in our personal world. Even Paul wrote; “For the invisible things of God are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made” (Rom 1:20).

God’s very presence can be sensed by our inner spirit man through the metaphor of our sense of smell. Just as we can sense certain atmospheres by the smell, so can we sense God’s presence. Just as we can sense rain is about to come through the smell of rain in the air, so can we sense the moving of God’s Holy Spirit about to pour out upon a church service. Just as we can smell someone is cooking, so can we sense God is preparing something to nourish us with.

Just like we have the sense of smell to interpret what is near or around us, we also have the inner spiritual ability to sense when a good presence is around us and an evil presence is near. Paul taught us that we are to “have our senses exercised” in order to judge good and evil (Heb 5:14). Just like we can develop our sense of smell to detect certain fragrances, so must we develop our spiritual senses to detect the supernatural presence of God when he comes into our midst.

POWER OF GIVING

Just when I think I have learned all there is concerning money, giving, tithes and offerings, wham, I discover volumes of Scriptures and stories about giving I never knew before. It is amazing how controlling “money” is in the lives of so many. A poem was written describing money telling her story;
“Dug from the mountainside, washed from the glen,
Servant am I, or the master of men.
Steal me I curse you, earn me I bless you,
Grasp me and hoard me, A friend shall possess you.
Live for me, die for me, Covet me, take me,
Angel or Devil, I am what you make me” (author unknown).
Someone wrote: “Money will buy a bed but not sleep, Books but not brains, Food but not appetite, Finery but not beauty, A house but not a home, Luxuries but not culture, Medicine but not health, Amusements but not happiness, A crucifix but not a Savior, and A church but not a heaven.”
I have found it very unique that of all ministry, Jesus only trained his disciples to evaluate giving. It was the widow’s mite, the smallest coin, compared to the rich man’s bag of gold that Jesus called his disciple’s attention to. The amount each person giving isn’t what I find unique. However, it is that Jesus sat over in the corner and observed the people’s giving. And what is more unique was that Jesus took time to teach his disciples about the giving process. Jesus did not do so with worship, prayer, preaching or any of the other ministry practices; Only giving. Our action with money displays our spiritual condition.
A person has departed from God if they have not given tithes and offerings (Mal. 3:7). God shows how one has departed from Him by robbing God. To rob someone is defined as: “stealing from to deprive one of something unjustly, to take that which is not rightfully one’s own, take something by underhand means, defraud, Cheat, trick, deceive, swindle.” No wonder Jesus watched people give.
Tithes and offering giving is an institution God created. All that a Christian is, has and all that may come to him is a gift from God. Tithe should be paid out of a devotional relationship with God. Tithing is an act of recognizing an authority higher than yourself. Tithing is an act of love and thanksgiving for material things received from God. Tithing is an act of confession of obligations to God who has been your helper in time of need. Tithing is an act of returning to God 10% of that which he has given to you. Tithing is an act of payment of your obligation as member of His Church for the support of His cause.
Tithing is the key to divine blessings. Jacob left Canaan empty and returned with much cattle and many servants after he started paying his tithe. If God gets His part, your part will go further than without God (Mal. 3:10, Lu. 6:38, 2 Cor. 9:6.
Tithing is an expression of gratitude. One who does not tithe does not consider any of the above things mentioned: They are not grateful, don't feel obligated to God, cares not for His cause, recognizes no higher authority than self and cares not for God's blessing. Those who fail to pay tithe not only robs God but hinders the spread of the glorious gospel. God's work requires money, tithing is God's way of financing His cause.
How much money would a public school system receive if it depended on the passing of a hat at a local PTA meeting to foot its bills? How would our Federal Gov. make out if it depended on its income to carry on our national activities by taking up a collection at Memorial and Independence Day parades?
God has a working method raising money to carry His work that method is "Tithing". God has ordained no other way for providing of the evangelizing of the world and maintaining of His Church other than by tithes and offerings. When tithing and offering is practiced, it is a blessing to the Lost, the Church, and the Individual. The Lost is reached, the Church is supported and the Giver is blessed. When tithe and offerings is not practiced, the Lost is not reached, the Church suffers and the Individual loses.
C.S. Lewis said in expressing the spirit of the early church, Acts. 4:32-35 "I am afraid the only safe rue is to give more that we can spare, if our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc, is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving too little. If our charities do not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say they are too small."
Many want to receive much with giving little. A certain family had gone to church; on the way home the father criticized the sermon, the mother found fault with the organist, and the eldest daughter talked about the singing. But the subject was suddenly dropped when the small boy of the family spoke up and said, "Daddy, I think it was a mighty good program for just one dollar."
Giving is a service. In giving we are ministering to others, supplementing needs and fulfilling God's Great Commission. We are contributing to the spiritual health of the community. When we give to God, we are ministering to the unsaved we are participating is seeing unsaved people come to God.
“God, break to the needy sweet charity's bread,
for giving is living, the angel said,
And must I be giving again and again?
My peevish and pitiless answer ran,
oh, no said the angel, piercing me through,
Just give till the Lord stops giving to you.”

LOST IN THE CEREMONIES

You can almost hear the parade of noise and clatter of conversations emanating from the company of friends and family of Mary. All attention was upon the services, parties and excitement of it all. They seemed to have forgotten Jesus, the main attraction. Luke writes, “They, supposing [Jesus] to have been in the company, went a day's journey and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance” (Luke 2:44). Somehow, Jesus got lost in the ceremonies. Somehow, festivities, candles, rituals and celebrations overshadowed the most important subject of the whole celebration – Jesus.
How can we go an entire day and not miss Jesus? How can we sing, shout, dance and still lose sight of Jesus? Obviously, Joseph was too busy explaining to his family the plans he had already proposed for his new “J&J Carpentry” business. Everyone was noticeably excited, especially Mary. “Perhaps you can start a franchise and begin marketing J&J Carpentry Shops all over Judea,” remarked one of his dear friends. “What a great idea,” Joseph thought, until Mary turned to run it by Jesus.
“Jesus? Jesus? Where is Jesus” Mary questioned? “Oh, he is with his friends,” answered Joseph. The whole day had slipped by without anyone noticing Jesus not being in their presence. How could it be that after days of celebration, they lose track of Jesus? After days of religious services centering upon Jesus, an entire day passes and no one recognizes Jesus was missing. How could they go to the Temple, pray, worship and participate in service, and not even notice that Jesus was not there with them? Jesus, the focus of attention, became lost in the ceremony. The excitement of celebration clouded the reason for the service in the first place. Jesus wasted no time in starting his life’s purpose, while his family had lost sight of his true work. Jesus was not found in their service. How can we lose sight of the most valued subject of all that we are doing? Is it possible that we can go about out day and forget the very source our celebrations?
How often has Jesus become lost in our home? How many times has He become lost in our church? How often has the many benefits we’ve received from Jesus gotten lost in our daily routine? How many offering plates have passed by us without giving our Tithe? How many lonely, lost men and women have been overlooked at our altars? How many tragedies have been avoided by God’s covering but we have failed to notice? I’m afraid, that while we have sung our songs, preached our sermons and performed our rituals, we have lost the true meaning of church.
I am afraid that we, like Mary and Joseph have become lost in our daily celebrations of our families and materials but lost track of God’s provision. I fear lest we continue to go about our enjoyable lives, celebrating our children, careers, homes and cars but forget to see the Jesus who has made it all possible. Did you go to church last week without paying your tithe? Did you go to your job this past week in a nation of 20% unemployment and not give God thanks? Have we Christians lost sight of the One who has made all our blessings possible?
Please, this month make sure you get to church every Sunday and thank God for his covering. Please, make sure you set aside 10% Tithe to give to God that you can have a church to worship in. Please, make sure you share your faith and do your part to grow your church. Because if we fail to do so, one day we may find that Jesus is no longer in our crowd. Because one day, we may drive to church and find it boarded up because there was no money to keep it open.

Mansion is not ready:
Billy Graham, Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts were all flying together to do a crusade when the plane suddenly crashed, killing all three. Upon arriving to heaven, Saint Peter said, “We were not expecting you this soon and your mansion’s are not ready yet.” Peter thought to himself and didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t send them back and they couldn’t stay there yet. So Peter called the devil and asked him if he wouldn’t mind keeping them for a week until they finished their mansion. He reluctantly consented.
After the fifth day, Satan called Peter and said, “Look you got to get these guys now.” Peter said, “What’s wrong?” Satan said, “Well Billy Graham has won half of hell to Christ. Benny has healed everyone and Oral Roberts has raised enough money to air condition the whole place.”

NINE ESSENTIAL CHANGES THAT RELEASE SUCCESS

Change the way you THINK. Think forward, not backward. Think ahead towards a plan, goal or a dream. Think positive. Think creatively. Think with knowledge toward wisdom.

Change the way you SPEAK. Let your yeah be yeah and your nay be nay. Speak the truth in love. Speak with confidence. Speak positively. Speak honestly and with integrity. Speak only with knowledge, never assumption.

Change the way you SEE. See in retrospect only to improve on your forward vision. Always take the look ahead of you, never behind you. See the best, never the worst in yourself and others. See with the vision of expectation. See the future, not the past.

Change the way you ACT. Act only in the manner of the character you desire to become, not what you were. Act with respect and honor towards yourself and others. Act in a way that a child or a grandmother could appreciate. Act with enthusiasm.

Change the way you DRESS. Dress for success. Dress the way you want to become, not what you are or were. Dress in the attire that best defines where you’re going. Dress with respect of those inside and outside of your familiar world. Dress with dignity.

Change the way you PRAY. Pray specific. Pray in faith and assurance. Pray to God, not to man. Pray to be heard, not to be seen. Pray positively, not negatively. Pray to encourage, not engage. Pray to impact, not to impress.

Change the way you WORSHIP. Worship upwards, not downwards. Worship with joy. Worship with excitement and enthusiasm. Worship with a thanksgiving heart. Offer praise to those who deserve it and your praise to God will be accepted. Offer reverence to those who deserve it, not to those who demand it.

Change the way you PLAY. Have fun with life. Play with your spouse or significant loved one. Play with your children and grandchildren. Play with your friends who you enjoy mutual respect. Play on purpose. Play regularly. Plan your play times. Make sure your entertainment is playful and your play is entertaining.

Change the way you GIVE. Commit now to Give the Tithe to the house of God or man of God that offers you a spiritual covering. Give to God what is in your hand and God will give you what is in his hand. Give cheerfully. Give in faith. Give generously. Give from your heart.

THE JESUS MINISTRY

As Jesus entered the elaborate decorated home of Levi, he couldn’t help but notice the well-dressed pious priests who were already seated at the fully dressed dinner table, which Levi prepared in honor of Christ. This was no ordinary dinner, nor was it a simple family meal with a few invited guests. No, this was an all out, to the hilt, great feast. Luke records, “And Levi made him a great feast in his own house; and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them” (Luke 5:29).
Jesus was amazed to see so many Gentiles present at a Jewish feast. Of course, they were referred to as “Publicans” by the Jewish hierarchy in public, but sinners in private. Sinners for dinner was the price Pharisees had to pay in order to gain privileges from the Roman Government, who by the way was in charge of things those days. Jesus soon learned that it was not uncommon to witness Publicans and Pharisees together over elaborate dinners. Business only, you see, in hopes to gain more political power within the Jewish infrastructure that Rome set up. Even though Pharisees and Publicans were together at the same feast, it did not mean they liked each other. The Scribes especially harbored a disdain for these Gentile rulers, who because of them the Scribes’ Hebraic duties were hindered.
The scribes and Pharisees were not well respected by the Jewish community, due to their hypocritical nature. The compromising characters gained the Jewish leaders little respect in Rome except for a few hired spies and conspirators. The Pharisees made no real change, or difference with the populous. All they had to offer was a pious prayer in the market place, or a pretentious presentation of religion among the people. Oh yes, these Pharisees mastered the art of performing their rites, but couldn’t seem to do what was right in regard to justice, judgment or mercy.
Jesus walked over to the table, at Levi’s bidding, and passed the proposed seat prepared for him. He smiled as he greeted the many publicans and their friends. Striking up a conversation with them, one publican moved over to make room for Jesus. He wasted no time telling these Gentiles about the prophecies of Isaiah, how that “the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising” (Isa 60:3). You could see these Publicans lean over the table, straining to hear every word, while the Pharisees and Scribes fumed. Levi gazed back and forth at Jesus and the Pharisees, noticing the rising disgust of the Scribes.
One Scribe got up from the table and found one of Jesus’ disciples and began to complain. Soon a Pharisee or two joined in with a complaint. Suddenly, the Pharisees and Scribes were murmuring against Jesus to His disciples, saying, “Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?” (Luke 5:30). It didn’t take a prophet to see that the traditions of the Pharisees were not working to reconcile the world back to God. Jesus’ ministry centered first around the lost and hurting. Being excused from the table, Jesus walked right into the controversial debate and said, “They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:31-32).

HOLY GHOST BLOW OUT

Sunday morning at Promiseland this past June 26, 2011 started out like we usually do. Great friendly greeting of everyone who walks through the doors. Fellowship and fun social conversations throughout the building. Others visiting the Information counter in the back of the church to get the latest information of what is coming. Maybe get a nice cup of coffee and share the latest testimony of what God has been doing.
Then this Sunday was a bit different. The music began to rumble while Pastor Tim Jr took the microphone and began to pray and edify the congregation. Quickly the whole church came to attention and suddenly everyone was on their feet responding to the anointed challenging prayer, exhortation. In just a few minutes it looked like everyone had their hands raised and joining in the prayer, exhortation. About that time, Tim Jr was back on the drums the praise team launched into a stand on your feet, clap your hands praise song.
About the third song, Senior Pastor McClure took to the platform and began to join the praise team in singing and explaining the difference between Praise and Worship. "Worship is a vertical intimate interaction with God personally” Pastor McClure explained. Worship comes from the Hebrew word meaning to lay prostrate, or to come up under. It is a meaning as to surrender or submit up under God. True worship is an intimate relationship with God saying to him, I surrender to you and submit my life to you” Pastor McClure continued.
Praise on the other hand is a horizontal interaction with the others as unto God” Pastor McClure spoke. True praise is giving God thanks by saying to others what God has done in your life and how awesome the Lord is through the personal experiences that one has experienced. At the same time Pastor was motivating the congregation in their worship, the praise team was singing in the back ground “No other name” while the congregation was clapping their hands, singing and responding to Pastor’s explanation of what they were actually doing in the heavenlies while they were in service praising God.
Before long, you could see the many come out of their pews and into the aisles, some dancing, others hands raised, while some had their arms around someone else helping them touch the throne of God. What normally takes about thirty minutes of praise and worship, continued on for an hour and then another half hour. The whole service became engulfed into a “Glory Charged” atmosphere where one altar cal after another was released. First for those who needed a job, come down and we will lay hands on you for your miracle. Then for those who needed a break through from the enemy who was holding them back from their deliverance. Then for those who needed to be healed from some sickness or disease. After an hour and a half of power packed presence, we were walking out saying, “Wow we had a Holy Ghost Blow Out” today.

DADDY'S HOME

Chanda, my first daughter wasn’t even a year old till my wife would meet me at the door when I came home from a hard day’s work with her loving mantra; “Daddy’s home.” Holding little baby Chanda, my wife would hold her up and say, “Daddy’s home” which put the biggest smile across my face as all the pain and sore muscles vanished.
A couple years later, Tim Jr. was born and then nine years after that, Aleena was born. It wasn’t long till I was met at the door every time I would come home from work with the “Daddy’s home” chant. What started off to be a cute saying, turned into a McClure ritual. No sooner than I would drive up in the drive way, or walk through the door, the pattering of feet would rise and the cry “Daddy’s home” would come.
Even though I would be dog tired and feeling bad at times, I was always healed by the cheerful mantra, “Daddy’s home.” It started in the house when I would came in. Then the children would meet me at the opened door. Later, I would be greeted at the truck or car with the jumping children, crying, “Daddy’s home.”
After the children grew up, then it became a competition. My wife would run to the door when she heard the truck pull into the driveway shouting “Me first.” Then the children would race attempting to beat her to the car or door to get the first hug and kiss. It’s been near 36 years now and still there are days when I step through the door, I hear the imaginary mantra, “Daddy’s home.”
There is no greater feeling in the world for a man than the feeling of knowing he’s loved. The greatest feeling is to know that there is someone at the door waiting for you. Even when all the children are in their own home, still if I walk through the door and pause for a second, I swear I can hear a faint cry, “Daddy’s home.”
For over 38 years, I have not left the house without first kissing my wife. Sometimes, there may be a slip up and one forgets to leave or arrive without such a welcome. However, someone quickly reminds each other of the ritual.
June 19, 2011 is Father’s Day. Though this may be the only day out of the year that we specifically honor every father, it is not the only time that we love and appreciate every father. Let me welcome each and every father to Promiseland Church with a celebrated mantra; “Daddy’s home.” Please, accept our love, embrace and honor this your day for all the Fathers. NO MORE EXCUSES

Luke 14:16-19
Then He said to him, "A certain man gave a great supper and invited many 17 and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come, for all things are now ready.' 18 But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused .' 19 And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.

EXCUSES is defined as; seek to remove from blame, exemption or release from obligation, duty. The Greek in the Bible is; par-ahee-teh'-om-ahee meaning; to place a reason above, subordinate request to another interest. We all have made “Excuse.”
First what is the destructive force of excuse and why? As defined, excuses are a removal of blame or guilt (by placing a higher reason above the request). In this case, God healed man on Sabbath (Vs 1-3). God made request for deliverance (Vs 4-6). Then God taught you Subordinate your wants to needs (Vs 7-11) Wedding invitation; don’t sit in the “Party seating” = you not focus & if they invite you to higher OK. Then invitation to Great Super (Vs 15-24). All stories focus on One’s Deliverance is greater than what you lose. Jesus used this occasion to teach one of the most powerful essential lessons to all of us; namely “BREAKING EXCUSES.”
WHY? Because Excuses is a devised plan of the devil: 1) attempts to release one from guilt, 2) rejects personal responsibility, 3) Excuses exults self above salvation. Let me show you the 5 Steps Jesus gave for we to Break Excuses off our lives.

Five STEPS TO BREAKING EXCUSES
Luke 14:20-23 0 Still another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.' 21 So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.' 22 And the servant said, 'Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.' 23 Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
1. ANGER – You must get fed up with incompetence, irresponsibility. Anger is the highest emotion = gives you all the fuel you need to take charge. We need high power to overcome selfish chains of superiority. “Let him who thinks he stands, take heed, lest he fall (1 Cor 10:12). Be angry & sin not (Ep 4:26). Excuses are the tools of the weak and incompetent. Used to build monuments of nothingness. Those who excel in it seldom excel in anything else but excuses.
2. GO QUICKLY – Take action NOW. Procrastination is the womb of excuses. Jesus was teaching that if any of us is ever to break the chain of excuses that is stopping us from our God given goal, we must act quickly. Now perform the doing of it (2 Cor 8:11). Most people live and die without their music ever being played. No action, no change. Limited action, limited change. Take action, Change occurs. Until you spread your wings, you’ll never know how far you can fly. Go beyond yourself. Lance Armstrong: “Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.
3. BRING THE POOR – See beyond yourself. Excuses elevate self above, To break these chains we must see the big picture. Reach outside of your own world and touch a life, heal the sick, save the lost and you will be FREED from excuses. Luke 14:13-14 invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. 14 And you will be blessed. Jesus knew that if we help those worse than ourselves we could not be irresponsible, we must sacrifice. Look at that little baby and make excuse why you don’t have time; No, you will pay the price. Hungry baby, deceived teen, abused woman = You will reject cheap excuses & do your DUTY. Opportunities are never lost; someone will always take up what others fail to take.
4. COMPEL – get passionate, outrageous insistence, strong arm (G). "to put constraint upon, 'necessity', to constrain, whether by force or persuasion"; Jesus "constrained" the disciples to get into a boat (Matt 14:22). Saul of Tarsus "strove" to make saints blaspheme (Acts 26:11) "compelled"; Peter "compelled" Gentiles to live as Jews (Gal 2:14); Paul was "constrained" to appeal to Caesar (Acts 28:19). Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you’re right.
5. FILLED – Ultimate purpose of life. Jesus knew that if we were going to Break the chains of Excuses off of us, we must have an ultimate purpose above ourselves. When fulfilling your divine duty, obey your heavenly call hits home so hard that the devil puts Excuses in your mouth, look up and see the BIG picture and your excuses will flee. When we can see how God is to get glory through our fulfilling our Duty, all excuses will sound so cheap. Why compare yourself with others? NO one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than YOU.

Failure is often the result of continual excuses that justify un-involvement and selfishness, while success always is a product of personal responsibility. Excuses only reveal our weaknesses and demonstrate our unwillingness to take action. In fact, believing we are incapable of greatness is merely a cover-up for avoiding personal responsibility. Worse, excuses subordinates God’s ability to work in our lives.
NO MORE EXCUSES – 1) Get fed up with irresponsibility, 2) Take action NOW, 3) Reach beyond yourself and help someone worse off, 4) Get passionate about life, 5) Realize that your Big or Little part in life is all about God getting Glory through YOU.

BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS

CBS News reported this evening; “Rapture prediction fails, doomsday averted. If you're reading this, Family Radio Network owner Harold Camping's much-ballyhooed prediction that the world would end on May 21, 2011 did not come true.” Many major News outlet reported yesterday of Harold Camping’s second failed bizarre prediction of the End of the World. Amazing, literally no one has ever heard of Harold Camping in the Christian world let alone the secular world but still almost all the News agencies thought it “relevant news” to air Camping’s strange ramblings.
As you read through the Web, you’ll find hundreds of agnostics dancing with excitement to the tune of humiliating faith off the back of uneducated men like Camping. Why did the News agencies take $billions of dollars of air time to report another weird prediction of Harold Camping knowing the media doesn’t believe? Was it to warn or inform the world? Or was it to use an opportunity to lampoon the Christian faith? The Bible even charges us that there would come those who would use occasions like this to proclaim to each other, “Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:4).
Rather than waste my time repudiating Harold Camping and his Heretical notions, allow me to set the record straight for the two billion Christians who believe in the Bible and some form of prophecy. Without belaboring your time with the Biblical Thesis about Eschatology, please accept my simplistic few words to state my case. First and foremost, NO man, not a Jew, Christian, Priest, Reverend, Clergy, Prophet, Apostle, Preacher or Pope can usurp the Authority of the Bible and contradict the Bible. “No prophecy of the Scriptures are of any private interpretation” (2 Pet 1:20).
Second, we are admonished not to receive anyone, not a prophet, worker of miracles or whoever that offers us a word or prophecy that is contrary from the Bible (Duet 13). Moses went on to say that God will use such deceivers to “prove us” whether we believe the [Bible] or superstitions. Jesus even thought “many false prophets will rise up and deceive many” (Matt 24:11). It is not to say that there are real and true prophets today, but NO true man of God will ever usurp his “prophecy” above the Bible and declare his word equal to the Bible or God.
Jesus said, “But of that day and hour no one knows , not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only” (Matt 24:36-37). Very simple and straight forward. No one really means no one. Not even Harold Camping. Don’t allow angry men like Camping who has a grudge against the church or the News Media who are propagators of everything against Jesus to manipulate your faith or confidence in God or the Bible. Jesus warned us that this would come and these such events would take place – all in the name of trying to “shake your faith.”

CHURCH IS MORE THAN A CATHEDRAL

There is no purer feeling and experience for a Christian than to get outside the church walls and “do Jesus stuff.” No Christian has ever experienced the true nature of Jesus in their life until they go beyond the safe church. When a believer walks beyond church walls and dare demonstrate their faith in public, then that believer will see, hear and feel the real Jesus in action. Your faith will soar. Your spirituality will erupt. Your anointing will pour out like a summer rain. The glory is like nothing you’ve ever felt.
I’m afraid that centuries of doing faith behind church walls have turned Christianity into a club for religious people. Church is not supposed to be a building we attend, but a life we live. Salvation is not something we believe, but a way that we live. We must do more than believe IN Jesus, we must be LIKE Jesus. The Bible is not supposed to simply be a book we read, but an example we mimic. Church is supposed to be the metaphor of the actual, living, breathing body of Jesus Christ.
After two millenniums the church has become known more of a building with stain glass and a steeple than a living body of Christ. Where did we get this building worship? Don’t get me wrong, we are commanded by Christ and the Apostles to assemble weekly to worship, but Church must be more than simply getting together. Yes, we are “not to forsake the assembling ourselves together and so much more as you see the day of God approaching” (Heb 10:25). Please tell me that the church has become no more than a religious Adult daycare. I cannot believe that the church was supposed to be a religious museum.
The gospel is meant to be “preached” (shared) with those who do not believe, not merely those who already believe. I don’t believe the church was meant to be a “Cathedral” or a Solomon’s Temple where only a select few Levi priests can enter and perform their day long ritual that 99% of the world never can see or experience. I see the church assembly to be modeled after Jesus and his followers. He would go to a place and mostly unbelievers would come and stay a while and hear him teach only to come back again and again until they either rejected or accepted Christ and his teaching (Matt 5-7).
Yes, Jesus would attend the Synagogue weekly, but in every case, the religious “Pharisees” would give him fits and sometimes try to kill him. I like to look at the church “building” as a “school house” where Christians hear the Word preached / taught in order to renew and build their faith, and learn how to share it. Jesus would teach daily saying, “Come learn of me” (Matt 11:29). Paul even explained that “we have so learned Christ” in order to know how we are to live (Eph 4:20-24).
After we attend a “school” and learn a trade, then we are to go out into the “real world” and put what we learned to practice. The same is with church. We are to first learn how we are to live and then go out and “demonstrate it” (1 John 2:6). Surely the Lord did not mean for we Christians to go behind church walls and sing, pray and preach to each other then keep it hidden behind church walls. We must take church out of church and practice what we preach.
More than ever, today is the time to for we Christians become “the temple of the Holy Ghost” (1 Cor 6:19). Getting Church out of church is a way of saying let us get what we have learned in the school house out into the work force. Let us take the grain out of the barn and sow it in the fields (Matt 13:38). The church was never meant to be a Cathedral where we relic the holy. The church was meant to be the extended body of Christ where we go out and make people whole-ly. Let us take the cross off our steeple and put one on our backs and go save someone.

David & Goliath Story
Angela, my daughter in law had bought a new Children’s Bible story book for Amiley, her 3 year old daughter. Sitting down with Amiley, Angela begin to read the story of David and Goliath to her. As she read about Goliath, Amiley said, “He’s the bad man, isn’t he mommy?” As Angela read onto the next page where David threw the rock and knocked Goliath down, Amiley paused and thought. She turned the page back to see Goliath. Seeing the picture of Goliath with his armor and big shield, Amiley asked, “What is that Mommy?” That is Goliath’s shield” Angela answered. “What is it for?” Amiley asked. It’s to keep from getting hit by things.” Amiley turned the page back to where Goliath was lying down on the ground and simply said, “It not work for him.”

PROFITS ARE BETTER THAN WAGES

Once you understand that profits are better than wages, then and only then will you become wealthy. Nobody will teach you this entrepreneurial principle from any government school. You will not learn this philosophy of success in any high school or a public college. I remember when I was 21 and broke. I wasn’t destitute, but I had too much month at the end of the money. I call this being broke.
Wages make you a living; which is fine. Profits make you a fortune; which is super fine. Fact is, you now have a choice to live fine or super fine. You now have a philosophy with “Profits are better than wages” to become wealthy and live super fine. Socialism and Communism taught the world that Capital belongs to the state and not to the people. This was evil as well as a lie. My “Uncle Harry” taught me to have two bicycles, One to ride and one to rent.
Socialism says that the people are too stupid to handle their own capital. The people must give the capital to the “All wise state” and they will take care of you. That philosophy destroyed every nation Communism philosophy touched. Let me ask you, has the “State” taken care of your grandparents, parents or anyone you know? Absolutely NOT! My father died with nothing in the bank. My mother was left to work cleaning houses up into her 70’s because she could not live on the $800 a month the “State” gave her to “live on.” NOT, more like to die on.
How long does it take to make a wage? In order to make a wage, you must lone out a whole lot of your time for just a little bit of the employer’s money. They call those who get money this way: “Wage earners.” That has become a code for an economic slave. How long do one have to work in order to become wealthy? With the present “Wage earner” system, one will work his whole life and never become wealthy. Most people today – even in America will die in the category of being POOR. We say it like this, “He died dead broke.”
Allow me to challenge you to look beyond the repetitive cycle the world and government offer you. Permit me to motivate you with a gleam in your eye for what can be and not simply what is. Concede to the possibility that you can use your talents, skills, knowledge and drive to earn profits instead of simply exchanging a lot of your time for a little bit of their money. Accept this proverb: “Profits are better than Wages.” Take these few words and put your mind toward the possibility that you could become wealthy over the next 10 years instead of just earning wages.

MIRACLE FROM MISERY

Virtually everyone knows the story of Helen Keller – the girl who was born both, Blind and Deaf. She was 7 years of age before she ever came in contact with any kind of training. At this time, Keller was worse than a wild animal – of which she was often called and treated as such. The Famous “Helen Keller” would have never been famous had it not been for a woman named Anne Sullivan.
Anne Sullivan was the daughter of Irish immigrant farmers Thomas Sullivan and Alice Cloesy; she had one brother, Jimmie, who was crippled from tuberculosis. Growing up, Anne was subject to poverty and physical abuse by her alcoholic father and at the age of five, trachoma struck Anne, leaving her almost blind. Two years later, her mother died and her father abandoned his children to an orphanage in Tewksbury where her brother died shortly thereafter. Despite being left in an orphanage with no formal educational facilities, Anne Sullivan prospered. When the state board of charities chairman, Frank Sanborn visited the Tewksbury orphanage; Anne literally threw herself in front of him crying, "Mr. Sanborn, I want to go to school."
After regaining her eyesight from a series of operations and graduating as class valedictorian in 1886 from the Perkins Institute for the Blind, she began teaching Helen Keller. When Sullivan first arrived, Helen was seven years old and highly undisciplined. Sullivan had to begin her teaching with lessons in obedience, followed by teachings of the manual and Braille alphabets. All who came in contact with them were amazed at the ability of Anne to reach Helen and Keller's heightened ability to grasp concepts unheard of by deaf and blind students before her. Alexander Graham Bell, Andrew Carnegie, Henry H. Rogers and John Spaulding were only a few who witnessed & supported.
If anyone would dare venture out upon a quest into the backgrounds & history of the famous, successful and accomplished in past generations, one would find many who came from horrific backdrops of obscurities and no doubt become inspired by the Miraculous from Misery and Misfortune. Only a few can assume to understand what many of the struggling know, go through or came from. And a few will dare witness Possibility – we call a Miracle in the Making.

CHANGE IS ESSENTIAL

The U.S. Postal Service said on Thursday it would cut 7,500 jobs and close seven district offices and 2,000 post offices as it handles less mail and faces greater staff costs and competition from FedEx and United Parcel Service. "It's critical that we adjust our work force to match America's changing communications trends as mail volumes continue to decline," Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said in a statement.

In November, the Postal Service reported a net loss of $8.5 billion for fiscal year 2010, its fourth consecutive year of losses. Joanne Veto, a spokeswoman for the Postal Service, said, "We know that we cannot look the same 10 years from now. The mail volume isn't there. We have to adjust to keep up with the mail and customer needs." She said the Postal Service would close 2,000 post offices around the United States over the next 12 months, while eliminating the 7,500 jobs. As of the end of January, the agency employed 583,000 people.

Sad, while Fed-X, UPS and hundreds of other communication giants have scurried just to stay in the info race, the “Government bureaucracy and Unions” have snail walk their way into bankruptcy. And worse, the bureaucrats refuse to turn over the “United States Postal” business to a privately owned company. It’s as if when you go to work for the government you become brain dead. It’s like they do not have to CHANGE because THEY are the government.

Let us all take this as a major “wake up call” lesson that change is an absolutely essential part of our modern culture now. If any of us, or business is ever to survive and better, succeed, we must maintain the posture of CHANGE.

INTERNET KILL SWITCH

The complete Internet shutdown this week in Libya involved a new way to turn off web access for an entire country. Earlier this year, the total Internet blockade in Egypt backfired and emboldened the protesters. China is well known for blocking Internet services, but it’s not just China. Of course, having the government turn off the Internet could never happen in the United States. We couldn’t condemn the action in other countries while at the same time plan it here. No one would even suggest such a thing, right?

Wrong. The topic came up last June when Senators Joseph Lieberman, Susan Collins and Thomas Carper introduced the controversial “Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010″. [PDF] One vague provision in the bill gave the president the power to “authorize emergency measures to protect the nation’s most critical infrastructure if a cyber vulnerability is being exploited or is about to be exploited.” It became known as the Internet “kill switch” bill even though the words ‘kill’ and ‘switch’ are not found in the bill. In fact, one report claims, in the event of a cyberwar, an Internet shutdown would cause more problems that it would prevent.

Joe Lieberman generously suggested the president is “not going to do it every day” (phew), but he did argue “we need the capacity for the president to say, Internet service provider, we’ve got to disconnect the American Internet from all traffic coming in from another foreign country, or we’ve got to put a patch on this part of it.” This sounds a lot like what might have been said inside Mubarak’s presidential palace.

It seems that with every passing day our very own government is behaving more and more like the Third World tyrant dictator while telling we the American people that they are “looking out for our best interest.” How can Egypt’s Mubarak, China’s Jintao or Libya’s Gaddafi action to use the Internet “Kill Switch” evil and anti civil rights, but the American’s president can use it and it is supposed to be “protecting our people?” The evil and blatant corruption is mind boggling to the normal mind. I say evil is evil, no matter what country it is in nor what government propagates it.

HIDDEN TAXES YOU PAY EVERY DAY

Whether you're making a PBJ sandwich or an airline reservation, you're coming into close contact with invisible charges that make goods and services more expensive. Everyone knows there are federal taxes on tobacco and alcohol, but did you know the feds take a bite out of your afternoon candy bar? There are plenty of unexpected taxes that raise the price of goods and services -- sin taxes, import duties, user fees and excise taxes on things as varied as gas guzzlers, firearms, communications services and air travel. "The less visible a tax is, the less likely taxpayers will be aware of it, unsettled by it and advocate against it," says economist Jared Bernstein of the Economic Policy Institute in Washington, D.C. You may feel lucky in Las Vegas, hit the lottery or have a good day at the racetrack, but all winnings are taxable as regular income. There's a tax on the life insurance policy that your employer so generously gives you as a benefit if it is over $50,000. "Most of the hidden taxes pertain to products we buy rather than wages we earn," adds Pete Sepp, a spokesman for the National Taxpayers Union, a watchdog group in Washington, D.C.
Think going “American First” is better, well look closer and find the Government tax policy is part of the problem of destroying “America First.” Goods from brooms to bicycles may carry excise taxes to make them more expensive. It's one way the government keeps the price of imported products artificially high and makes it easier for domestic ones to compete for business. "You are paying more than you would otherwise pay," says Patrick Fleenor, an economist for the Tax Foundation, a Washington, D.C. group. Here are some items whose prices are jacked up with import taxes: Bicycles at 11%, School supplies 5%, Hammock 15%, Infant formula 18%, Linens 12%, Flashlights 18%, Brooms 32%, Girdles 24% and Peanut Butter 143%.
Our own Federal Government is manipulating our economy so much till there is almost no such thing as a “Free Market.” If you were forced to pay the Taxes on everything you buy separate from the “hide the tax in the total price” you would be calling and writing your representatives. LOOKING FOR A JOB?

The “so called” unemployment percentage in America is set at 9.6%. Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (9.4 percent) and whites (8.5 percent) declined in December. The unemployment rates for adult women (8.1 percent), teenagers (25.4 percent), blacks (15.8 percent), and Hispanics (13.0 percent) showed little change. The jobless rate for Asians was 7.2 percent, not seasonally adjusted. And if you use the “real” percentage of those who are out of work and not collecting unemployment compensation, it is 17%. The sad reality of this means that nearly 2 out of 10 people are unemployed. And with the condition of the economy, a “sunshine day” is not coming too fast either.
Now before you get all out of sorts with me for such grim gloomy news, let me use this reality to challenge you from a view you may not have thought of. Namely, getting a job today like you used to know is out of the picture. What I am trying to say is the old way of getting a job that perhaps you are used to is not working and for the most part will not work today. If you are going to get a job today in this economy, you will have to “Think outside the box” and do something far different than you have done or are used to doing.
My advice to any “job seekers” today in this economy is to; First, Be aggressive. You must “Go after it.” The days of companies putting a “Help Wanted” sign out is over. Forget waiting for someone to FIND you. They are not looking. Literally there are NO “Help Wanted” ads in any Newspaper anywhere. And the internet Help Wanted ads are slim to none. If you get hired today, you have to become aggressive and very forth right about it.
Second, you must become Unrelenting in your search to find a job and get hired. There is no room for passive shy people getting a job. Put your timidity aside and “Hit the pavement” EVERYDAY. I mean, you must get up early every morning like it’s a JOB itself and put in six, seven hours a day – everyday all week until you get what you need, or looking for. You must be persistent.
Thirdly, you must become Organized. Get your resume done correctly. DO NOT do a multi-page resume. Learn how to write a successful, quality resume that HR people are wanting to read (not what you want to say). Create a One page resume. Reduce a sentence down to one word. Make your resume a “Bullet Point” style read. Tweak your resume to fit each company you are submitting to. Make it sound like you are what they are looking for.
And lastly, Be informed. Find out every business in your county that has hired in the past 12 months. Find out the companies that are expanding or adding a new division to their operation. Go to the local bookstore, library, Job Bank and find out the Do’s and Don’ts of job interviews, resumes and how and why companies hire. In short, be informed. Go online and Google key words that will assist you in learning how to find and secure a job interview.
I promise you that if you will do what I outlined for you in these few short paragraphs, you will absolutely find a job and get hired. ARIZONA SHOOTER’S EVIL BELIEFS

Jared Loughner wrote that the Mars rover landing was faked. He believed George Bush orchestrated the 9/11 terrorist attack. His favorite books include 'The Communist Manifesto' and 'Mein Kampf'. In fact, The Washington Post wrote that “Loughner's You Tube profile listed Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels's 'The Communist Manifesto' and Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' among his favorite books.” Even Mamta Popat with the AP wrote; “It seems clear based on Loughner's YouTube videos and MySpace page that he held a grudge against the U.S. government.”
Many today wish to write away the realities of “Evil beliefs” such as Adolf Hitler proposed in his book Mein Kampf (My Struggle) and Karl Marx Communist Manifesto. When you read these two books and then watch what they did in the name of their evil beliefs, you easily come to the conclusion that some beliefs are EVIL, not simply another opinion. When you research even further and see what and how these two men did in murdering millions of people to fulfill their demonic beliefs, you can conclude to nothing else other than they were EVIL. And their writings and beliefs were diabolical let alone birthed from Satan himself.
I know it seems everyone wishes to declare who and what Loughner is, but the fact remains none of us know the whole truth yet. However one fact remains true, Laughner read, heard and believed some of the most corrupt, twisted evil doctrines on this planet (Fascism and Communist Socialism). Whether Laughner was mentally insane, psychologically deranged or just plain evil, time will tell. But for sure, we all can conclude that such evil influences as Fascism and Communist Socialism will pollute, deceive and damage any person’s psyche in one way or another.
What is scary beyond reality is to hear, watch or read the corrupt attempts to use Laughner’s actions as a foundation to promote their political opinions or worse to cover up ideologies and destructive dogmas such as Fascism and Communist Socialism. John B. Watson, America’s Father of Behavioral Psychology wrote about the power of behavioral influences that can and do train anyone and everyone to “act out” what they have been raised to believe. Truth is, the power of indoctrination training will influence anyone to act out on their deep beliefs, no matter how evil and violent they are.
Don’t fall for the corrupt political and liberal media’s attempt to bash opposing views to their own by using Laughner’s actions by turning your attention off the real crime and evil. Today’s media seems bent on preaching a doctrine more than reporting the news. Don’t get side tracked off the real evil; killing people who opposes your views. Today’s mantra seems to present that if you can’t win in the debate of ideas, just kill your opponent. That is and has always been the doctrine of dictators and tyrants. Jesus won a million times more people to his cause than Hitler or Stalin without hurting or killing one single person while Fascism and Communism has killed millions or millions of people.
The bottom line is simple, what Loughner did was evil and wicked to the core. And to use this horrific evil as a platform to promote one’s views or to attack one’s political enemies is evil in of itself. My friend, it is twisted stories like we have seen, heard and read over the past few days is what has made 90% of Americans not trust or believe the main stream media nor politics. I pray and ask everyone to pray for the parents of Loughner for they do not deserve the heart broken trauma they are suffering. Pray for the victims and families as for they did not deserve such loss either. And please, take time to call your loved ones and tell them how much you love them and take time today to DO some loving act to share the Love and grace of truth.

YEAR OF OPPORTUNITY

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of doubt, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way. That is the opening lines of "A Tale of Two Cities" Charles Dickens; One of the most famous openings in English literature. The two cities are London and Paris. And it was during the time of the French Revolution, just 15 years after our Revolution. The lines serve as Prophecy of the very times we are living now.
Yes, we are surly living in a moment when for many it is the worst of times and for others it is the best of times. The paradox of this hour serves as one of the highest volatility in our nation. There has been a major rise of frustration and even anger over the belligerent aggressive thrust of political quest at the expense of the needs and desires of the American people. The raping and pillaging of the Federal Reserve system, Banks and Wall Street has decimated our economy. The polarization of our media and public has spawned enough rage, distrust and outright contempt till nerves have flared and respect gone.
My friends, we are living in the Times that Ezekiel and Daniel saw. We are living in the times that John wrote about on the Isle of Patmos. Your very life today, your days, your words, your thoughts and ideas are the Brick and Mortar that is building your future. Today, 2011 is the very moment we all must take a stand on letting go of whatever is making us stop. Let go of the pains, mistakes, failures, regrets and Yesterday. Today is a NEW DAY a New Year. This is your moment to start over. Christine McVee writes; “If you wake up and don't want to smile, If it takes just a little while, Open your eyes and look at the day, You'll see things in a different way.” Today is the moment to look ahead – raise your eye brows and see your future – see your faith – see your opportunity. My friend, You need a Prophecy. You need a tap on your shoulder from an angel to whisper in your ear about the opportunity God has given you in this year.
Over 100 studies of the best minds and researchers in America have revealed that the majority of people spend 90% of their time thinking about their past. Less than 3% of people think about the future. Faith is about the future not the past. Nowhere in the Bible do we find faith displayed for yesterday. Vision is always for your future, never your past. Prophecy means to fore tell (foresight). The first name for the Prophet was a “Seer.” He foresaw the future. A prophet would give a word about your future. God wants you to know that 2011 is your opportunity. You can chose to let 2011 consume you or you can look beyond the troubles and capture possibilities.
When Jesus told his disciples about their future and the blight of the world to come, he said; “Look Up” (Luke 21:28). We cannot live another day with our head down. Let us turn our Misery into a Miracle – first in our heart – then in our mind and then it will appear in our lives. Stop looking back over Yesterday wishing it were different, it will not change. Yesterday is GONE. Come on WAVE at your Yesterday and shout with me BY – BY. Now lift up your eyes and gaze into your tomorrows of opportunities and confess; “God has a great future for me” (Jer 29:11).

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years; in six weeks we celebrate three major holidays with the center focus around faith, family, friends and the future. There is no greater time of the year to share our faith, love our families and friends and plan to do it better in the New Year.
I had built a fire in the formal living room the other day when afterwards, my grandson walked out from his room and looked down and said, “Wow GP, how did you do that?” Amazing how children bring out the beauty of something we take for granted. The things in life we have experienced for years so easily become common.
I sat down some time after that moment to run through my heart and mind all the things that I have experienced and received through my life time and wanted to take in the love, joy and memories they have brought to me. I thought of my days as a child growing up in the mountains with very little. I would make my own toys to play with, or build tree forts, or catch “craw dads” in the creek. The simple things of life have made life more valuable than the conveyer belt feelings today’s world manufactures for us.
I ran through my mind the beautiful nostalgic Christmas movies like “It’s a Wonderful Life, Charlie Brown’s Christmas, Home Alone (smile) and so many more that spark such emotional memories spending time sitting with friends and family sharing the Holidays. Laughing with kids and grand kids, crying (again) during the emotional moments: and then to feel a little hand on your arm with a little voice, “Why are you crying GP?” Nothing in the whole world is more important than our Faith, Family and Future.
Like always, I take these six weeks at year’s end to recap my life, reevaluate what I have or have not done with regard to my purpose and goals. As I sit here writing you I want to say YOU are one of the Reasons for the Season. I want to say to you, you are important to Jenny and me. Like Clarence ( the angel in It’s a Wonderful Life) reminded George Bailey (Character Jimmy Stewart played) what life was all about, so has these past few weeks giving me my very own “Clarence” moment.
Please allow me to share my heart and say to you that there is nothing more important than our Faith in Jesus, Church family to share spiritual moments or worship, prayer and divine experiences with. I need, you need Jesus, prayer, worship and church. I need, you need other Christians to comfort, challenge, and care for you. I love my family more than life itself. My family is the most important part of my life. My children and grand children make life worth living and worth living better in 2011.
Please allow me to say thank you for your role and part you have played in my life that has made me who and what I am today. I want you to feel as well as know how much I love you and thank God for you. Take this moment to make a phone call, write a letter, send a card or email to your family and friends and tell them you love them. Envelope this time to get alone with God and say a prayer for your family, church and your future.

ATTITUDE

The great Spanish philosopher, Jose' Ortega Gasset, reminded us that we human beings are the only creatures on the planet Earth that are born into a natural state of disorientation with our world. That is, while all other creatures are guided by instinct they are unaware, and they don't have the capacity to question other creatures. The human creature was given the godlike power to create his or her own life, good or bad. Each of us does exactly that, all the years of our lives.
Every day, we put in place actions and ideas that will determine the shape and substance of our tomorrow. For some, those ideas and actions lead inevitably to extraordinary achievement and rewards. For many they tend to lead to a kind of middle ground in which great numbers of people take their cues from each other, without question or consideration. And for some, those actions and ideas lead to repeated frustration and problems, and they spend their lives in the bottom layers of the socioeconomic pyramid.
Success or failure as a human being is not a matter of luck, circumstance, or fate. Success in life is not secured to a select few who without their choices just wake up successful. It's a matter of following a common laws God has sown into the earth.
Attitude has changed more lives, brought about more success stories, helped create more millionaires, and saved more careers and marriages than any other subject known to man. And rules we talk about apply to any situation, under any and all circumstances. We never have to say, "I wonder what will work in this particular situation." All we have to do is make these ideas our own. And we begin with what I call "The Magic Word: - ATTITUDE."
We all want good results from life, in our home, in our work, and in all our contacts with other people. The most important single factor that guarantees good results, day in, day out, all the months and years of our lives, is a healthy attitude! Attitude is the magic word.
Attitude is defined as "the position or bearing as indicating action, feeling or mood." And it is our actions, feelings or moods that determine the actions, feelings or moods of others. Our attitude tells the world what we expect in return. If it's a cheerful, expectant attitude, it says to everyone with whom we come in contact that we expect the best in our dealings with our world.
You see, we tend to live up to our expectations. And others give to us, as far as their attitudes are concerned, what we expect. Our attitude is something we can control. We can establish our attitude each morning when we start our day - in fact, we do just that, whether or not we realize it. And the people in our family - all the people in our world - will reflect back to us the attitude we present to them.
It is, then, our attitude toward life that determines life's attitude toward us. Cause and effect. Everything we say or do will cause a corresponding effect. If we're cheerful, glad to be experiencing this miracle of life, others will reflect that cheer back to us. We are the kind of people others enjoy being around.
You and I are responsible for our lives. You and I produce causes all day long, every day of our lives. The environment can return to us only a corresponding effect. That's why I say that each of us determines the quality of his or her own life. We get back what we put out.
Here's a way to evaluate the quality of your attitude in the past: Would you say that people tend to react to you in a smiling, positive manner, giving you friendly greetings when you appear? Your answer to that question will tell the story.
As soon as a person begins to change, his or her surroundings will change. And it works like this: great attitude, great results; good attitude, good results; fair, or average, attitude, fair, or average, result; poor attitude, poor results.
So each of us shapes his or her life. And to an altogether unexpected extent, the shape and texture, the quality or lack of quality, of our lives is determined by our habitual attitude. It sounds simple, doesn't it? But it's not quite that easy. For most of us, learning this new habit takes time. But once it becomes a habit-knit part of our lives, our world will change as dramatically as it would if we would if were walking from a dark cave into the bright light of day.
Most people never think about their attitudes at all. For most of them, it's a matter of beginning each day in neutral. Their attitudes are neither good nor bad; they are poised to react to whatever stimuli they encounter. If the stimulus is good, they will reflect it; if it's bad, they will reflect that, too. They are chameleons, going through their days reacting to whatever confronts them. And these are the people of our environment. That's why it's so important for us to control our attitudes, to make sure they're excellent or good.
It was William James of Harvard University, the father of psychology in America, who said, "Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind."

ANTI-HATE SPEECH GOES BOTH WAYS

As I was channel surfing on the TV this morning I came across a conversation on CNN where the correspondent was interviewing a Dan Savage (Gay activist). Savage was using some very hard words and strong opinions against those who disagree with his homosexual agendas. As I listened for just a few moments, it was very clear that this “Hate Speech – Crimes” issue flows both ways.
The more Savage spoke the more he spewed out some very harsh words against his opponents. I was caught up in his words, facial demonstrations and strong conclusive assumptions he berated “as a matter of fact.” No there was no one there representing “his opposition” to either offer their take or some kind of rebuttal to such harsh words Savage was propagating. Savage’s rhetoric was filled with very strong hatred towards those who opposed his agenda. My instant reaction was not to think in defensive notions, but to see and hear such hatred Savage was demonstrating. My thoughts were, “Hey Dan, this Hate bigotry goes both ways.
Allow me to offer a few suggestions to Dan Savage or to anyone concerned in this issue we see playing out in America. Dan Savage’s Gay life style is his business and personally I don’t really care. Whatever Dan wishes to chose for his sexual orientation is Dan’s business. Surprise, I am not even worried about it. Time and circumstances will dictate the outcome of anyone’s life style regardless who agrees or not. Dan suggestion of “crimes” committed by those who oppose the Gay community pales in comparison to those crimes from the Gay community against their own Gay community. (That’s another subject all by itself).
My observation is that people like Savage is not trying to live his homosexual life style in public, but rather forcing the public to condone it and join in to advocate it. I have found that the hate and abhorrent attitudes of people like Savage against those who disagree with them is more intolerant and aggressive than the crowds who oppose the Gay life style. Savage’s words showed no respect towards anyone who disagreed with him.
The issue as I see it from those who oppose Savage’s idea or cultural philosophy he wishes to impose upon culture is he wishes to “force educate” America in the ways, behavior and sexual acts of the gay lifestyle. And Savage insinuates that it is somehow “hate speech” to oppose his agenda or disagree with him.
My argument is that the very speech, assault and verbal aggression of Dan Savage were his own kind of “Hate speech” against those who disagree with him. As Savage may wish to defame those who disagree with him with very hard accusatory words, I can argue his guilt of “hate speech” against non-gays. I wish to ask Savage, why do you “hate” non-gay people or “religious” people? Why do you use “hate speech” against anyone who opposes you with threats of criminal prosecution? Mr. Savage, you can no more “force” me to accept your beliefs as I cannot force you to accept my beliefs. It comes down to CHOICE. You chose your life style, I will choose mine. But don’t come out and accuse me of “hate speech” if I write that I disagree with your philosophy. This “hate speech” attack goes both ways, not just YOUR way.

SAY NO TO THE US GOVERNMENT SEXUAL ASSAULT

You have seen as I the pervasive sexual assault of men, women and even children on the television from the US Government TSA union workers. My instant reaction was, “I don’t believe this is actually happening.” But then over and over I read, heard and have seen the actual fondling of men, women and even children’s “private parts.” The stage of my emotions rose from shock to disturbed to flat out angry. Now with the TSA Government Union heads saying that if we opt out of the body scan and the sexual fondle we will be fined $11,000.00 and band from flying that day.
Angry is not the word for how I feel now. It is extreme bewilderment. I am asking myself now, “What has happen to my country? Where has the United States of America gone? I am now living in NAZI country.” Who in his wildest nightmare imagination would have ever dreamed that our America, our government would have ever come to this? What happen to our Civil liberties? What happen to our privacy? What happen to the Bill or Rights and the Constitution of the United States of America?
Where in the world is the ACLU at now? They are all up in your face if some kid prays at a Hill Billy School yard in the mountains, but they are silent as an Oyster when the TSA union worker fondles a child. Shocked? Dismayed? Angry? Amazing when you hear or watch the ACLU ultra left spokes person protest the placing of a cross on the road side with a “We’re protecting the rights of the public.” But you can’t find them a hundred miles from the TSA sexual assault in the airports across America.
Of course the ACLU, the George Soros groups, the Anti- America crowd wants us to be assaulted so we can begin “hating our country” like they do. No, I don’t hate America. No I’m not angry at America. No, I am not giving up on the United States of America. I am angry with George Soros and his ilk’s, the Unions, Socialist and American haters. I am upset at the Anti-US Constitution crowd. So what do we do you ask?
As for me, I am going to 1. Speak out against such debauchery like sexual organ search; 2. I am going to write every Congressman, Senator and government official in office and voice my extreme disgust and anger over such wickedness. 3. I am going to write BLOGS, post comments, and lift my voice, influence and talents against their evil. 4. Most importantly I am going to pray against the Sin and Satan who is the father of such blatant corruption (2 Chron. 7:14). 5. Encourage you and everyone I can to do the same as I am doing.

FAITH -VS- FEAR

Fear is actually Faith that something BAD is going to happen. Yes, even Christians can have fear or be afraid. Jesus often told his disciples to “Fear not or Be not afraid.” How is it that 12 of the most powerful men in the Bible could have fear? Simply because fear is the least common denominator of human weakness. We were born with the nature to fear. Fear in its good sense is a cautionary impulse. Fear can cause people to move with caution or at best with awareness. However, in most cases fear works for our bad or harm. Why? Because fear almost always takes on the negative perspective. Fear assumes the worse and believes the worse. Therefore the evil of fear is that one will automatically believe that bad will win over good. This is how Satan uses fear to work against the believer. Fear becomes the most dangerous human propensity in a Christians life. If a believer yields to fear, the believer will almost always fail in God’s purpose and plan for the believer’s life. Fear is your enemy, not your friend.
Faith is belief that something GOOD is going to happen. Faith is the opposite of fear. Because faith is the Spirit nature inside every human. If you yield to your faith tendencies you will always see the positive outcome of everything, no matter how difficult it may seem. Faith is the belief that good will prevail over bad. There is a silver lining behind every rough situation. Faith is the God vision that looks over or beyond the present issues of life that pull one down. Faith is confidence. Faith is assurance. Faith is optimism in its highest form. Faith never lives in the past, faith always lives for the now and the future. If faith looks back, it only does so to give testimony that something good will come tomorrow. Faith will only use yesterday to give evidence that God will make a way where there is no way.
Worry is the Motivation that Fear will win over faith. Worry is the inspiration for fear to take hold of every situation and make sure the negative will win. Hence worry is the sister to fear giving fear all the moment by moment support to assure fear wins. Worry is your enemy, not your friend. Worry is not caution, worry is confidence in fear. God over and over commands us not to worry: Phil 4:6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Matt 6:25 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.
Now that we have a good idea of Faith – Vs – Fear than let me offer a few suggestions on how to resist fear and cling to faith. First, fear is a feeling. Therefore as with all feelings, they are usually linked to previous associate conditioning. What does that mean? It means that somewhere in our past experiences we felt afraid during certain things we went through, such as falling, exploring the unknown, or going through something unexpected. Example: A child awakes in the middle of the night and looks over in the dark across the room and hears a noise, he becomes afraid. His mind begins to try and focus to find a reason for the noise in the dark and concludes it cannot be seen so therefore it is dangerous. The heart beats and the mind races to all sorts of bad conclusions, hence FEAR associated with a feeling. In order to overcome this, we must re-link the feelings of uncertainty to faith instead of fear. When you are afraid of the noise in the dark, turn the light on, look around and your mind will answer what it could not answer and conclude that there is nothing to be afraid of, hence a calm assurance – FAITH.

HOW TO PAY OFF THE NATIONAL DEBT

I have been listening to News clips here and there almost every day for the past few months about the National Debt. You don’t have to be a News junkie, politically astute or even slightly interested in the Nation’s economy to know that America’s economy is in the toilet. There are more the 20 million people who are unemployed today. Evidence from churches, agencies, businesses, industry and even the government have unveiled the statistics of just how devastating today’s economy in America is.
The fault of this nation’s economic may lays can be traced back to all the “Bailouts” starting back in 2009. The “AIG” bailout that cost every American citizen near $200 billion. The General Motors and Chrysler cost the American citizen over $100 billion counting the Union’s pension failures. Then add to that the “Bank Bailouts” that cost the American citizen over $1 Trillion. Add to that the US Government accepting TOTAL liability of almost all the BAD DEBT the corrupt banks created through scrupulous and fallacious dealings and the American citizen is in hock for some $4 Trillion. Some even suggest that when you count the interest, corruption and all the “sweet deals” over the next 10 years, American citizens is responsible to pay over $5 Trillion in DEBT.
Right now as I write and you read this blog, our Law Makers (Congress) and the Administration are negotiating to create a 2010 Budget (that they still do not have). The main focus and essential need is to STOP THE SPENDING craze from some maniacal politicians who are more interested in stuffing their pockets of $millions than working for you and me. The National Debt is the main concern in our nation’s economy for the sake to get American Businesses in shape to start hiring again.
The “National Debt” is the #1 issue and concern that MUST be fixed if our economy is ever to get back on its feet. Many highly educated and pros at this economy business are screaming that if we do not stop this spending abomination and balance the Budget, our money is headed for a fall. That means Inflation and Deflation. In simple terms to understand, if we don’t balance this ludicrous economic idiocy in our government, two or three years from now, a gallon of milk will cost $10, a pound of coffee could cost $25 and your rent could be $1500 for a two bedroom apartment. You say, there is no way I could afford that. Exactly, and neither can everyone else in America except the politicians, Bankers and the Money Moguls.
I propose that since the Banks, Wall Street and the Unions are the recipients of all the $Trillions of Bailout monies, make them pay the National Debt off. That’s right, sell off 10% of Wall Street Companies and take the money and pay off the debt. Force JP Morgan, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, General Motors, Chrysler, Union Pensions all contribute 10% of their profits and pay off the National Debt.

BLACK OPS MEDIA PLOY

By now you have heard or seen the news about the pictures and video of the “missile” launch off the coast of California. Of course if you have heard any of the “Black Ops Media Ploy” you would have found yourself wondering what in the world is going on.

Military officials and other federal authorities don't appear to have a clue as to what the flying object could have been, so they say or want you to believe. Instead of identifying the phenomenon, the Pentagon would only deny responsibility for the missile. The Pentagon who can take a picture of your license plate number from 1200 satellites they have in space wants you and I to believe they have no clue what or who launched a missile just off the coast of Los Angeles.

The “so called Pentagon expert” John Pike said, “It looked like a missile launch, he said, because of an optical illusion.” Pike’s argument was: “"It was an unusually clear day," he said.” However, every picture reveals a almost vertical launch – spiral virtually straight up in the air – just like a rocket. Go look for yourself. Google it again and look at all the pictures for yourself. Whatever you do, DO NOT BELIEVE the “Black Ops Media Ploy.”

Pentagon spokesman Dave Lapan said: 'There is no evidence to suggest that this is anything else other than a condensation trail from an aircraft.' What is the government trying to hide? The “Black Ops Media” thinks that we the people are brain dead or mind numb robots. As if we haven’t seen a rocket launch before. As if we don’t know that an airplane DOES NOT leave a massive rocket plum behind it like a rocket does. Main reason is because rockets use hydrogen fuel, not highly refined gasoline we call “jet fuel.”

One thing we all can take home from this is the government and their “Black Ops Media Ploy” is banking on you and I being brain dead or just plain stupid to just buy whatever they decide to feed us. Truth is, with the age of the internet we “dumb public” is way ahead of the game today. We no longer are blind, deaf and dumb when it comes to information – especially the news. And NO, we don’t buy this “Black Ops Media Ploy” line about “We don’t have a clue” what it is. And also, by the way, you are in no danger from it either. Look at the words the government has used to feed you the public and tell me they are not hiding something. I’m not buying it.

THE ELECTION IS NOT OVER

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget, politicians do. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations, elected politicians do. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
So how did the United States economy fall through the floor and is the worse economy since the 1930’s? How has our nation’s unemployment rise to 21+% (real humans that are out of work)? How has today’s politicians – our government spent $1,400,000,000,000.00 (1.4 Trillion) MORE than our government has taken in? The present government is spending $300 billion MORE each month than they are taking in. The numbers today is that the United States DEBT is over $13 Trillion. That means each family in America is responsible for over $120,000. That is enough to buy a nice house.
MY POINT is that the corruption and domestic collapse that America is forced to try and wade through is and has been caused by the government powers that be. Our job losses and economic meltdown didn’t come from outer space. The excessive spending of the Federal Government didn’t happen because of bad weather. The men and women in government, state wide and nationwide are to blame.
Therefore, this week’s election is a mirror of the anger, frustration and “We have had enough” attitude of the American people have spoken. And the fact is, the giant has awaken and is not going away just because of one election. Unions, Special Interests, Corporate Greed and Power Grabs have raised their hand up against the American people. They have shown their ugly face and are at war with US – We the People. Now – We the People have noticed and WE are fighting back.
My prayer is that the election is not over, but has just begun. My challenge is that We the People take this momentum and increase it until the Fat Cats on Wall Street, the corrupt Bankers in the Federal Reserve Bank and the Bribed politicians are all exposed. And my challenge is that We the People educate ourselves until we NO LONGER tolerate the destruction of our nation and our families.

If you see a man standing on Mt Everest, Know for certain that he didn’t fall there. There has never been a man or woman that has accidently graduated from college. None of us woke up one day and realized we were who we are and where we are at.
Success doesn’t come because you are lucky. Miracles don’t come to us by mistake. Salvation is not random. Freedom doesn’t come uninvited. You ask, What is my point? Who we are, where we are at this day in our life is from a series of Beliefs and Behaviors we’ve adopted whether consciously or unconsciously aware of it.
Whether we premeditated, planned or orchestrated our actions and our behavior has brought us to where we are and who we have become. No one accidently becomes a success or a failure. NO, God doesn’t decide who succeeds or who fails – WE DO. God does NOT decide who gets saved and who gets lost, WE DO. “It is not the will of God that any should be lost but that all come to repentance” (2 Pet 3:9). “It is God’s will that you be healed” (Mark 1:39-40).
It is our faith that makes us whole (Mark 5:34). It is our faith that saves us (Luke 7:50). It is our faith that gets us access to God (Rom 5:2). It is heresy to slander God in saying that GOD makes people sick, GOD causes people to suffer or GOD makes people go to hell without their choice. It is a lie against God to suggest that God causes EVIL to happen to people without their choice or behavior.
My Point is that if we are ever going to enjoy salvation, we must “repent and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). If we want to change any aspect of our life it will be by design. It will be from a set of teachings, Songs, Movies, Friends, Associations, Books we read, and Influences that WE receive by our will, whether consciously or unconsciously. Our choices make us who we are and where we end up in life.

HERE IN IS LOVE

I Jn 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us.
I was raised in a home where my daddy didn’t express very much emotion or shown love toward my mother; at least not in front of me. I grew up without the affection made manifest. There was very little outward affection given to my mother and sister from my father.
I grew up in a time where it seemed the “man” thing was not to “Show” your affection toward your wife in public, or affection toward your children. “You’ll spoil them” they said. I was told by men to play the “macho” guy. Not to let your feelings show. If you did, you were weak.
I remember a man years ago who I won to the Lord, baptized and prayed him, his wife and two children through to the Holy Ghost. This dilapidated home of a man, woman and two kids was far from a family or a home.
After working with the man for a year, I started working on his wife. After a year, she received the Holy Ghost and I baptized her. Before she ever came around, he would want to counsel with me all the time about what he should do about his wife. He had marriage problems as she would go out on the night. She never showed him any attention, never wanted to clean the house, stay home, do anything with him, etc. It was bad.
One day, I asked him what he was doing to win her affection. He looked at me as if I was crazy. “What do you mean, what am I doing to win her?” I means, are you complementing her or buying her flowers to show you love her? Are you cleaning the house, helping out with the kids homework or just spending some time each evening with her? Are you being the kind of Christian man that would make her want to be a Christian?” “I couldn’t do that.” Why? I asked. “If I did that, she would become spoiled and rotten and then expect it from me all the time.” Well of course she would you lush lug! What do you think Christianity is all about?” No wonder she showed him no affection. Who wishes to romance a dead fish? I can just see her friend asking her; “What are you doing tonight? O nothing, I’m just having dinner with a manikin.”
Jesus said it well; “Here in is love.” What? That real love, the kind of love that so effects people that it demands a response is the kind of love that shows up in our lives. Here is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us. This is to say that the real way that we are to ever receive love is to first give love. It’s the Law of Sowing and Reaping. If you sow it, God will grow it. If you want friends, you have to be a friend.
What is it that you are wanting? Are you looking for love? Wishing for a relationship? If so, then you need to be the magnet that will attract the very person or relationship you are seeking. You can’t be a silent, stuck up person and attract a loving person. If you are looking for a serious relationship, you can’t act like a “one night stand.”
Whatever it is that you are looking for or desiring, you will have to manifest that very thing. If you want to attract money, you can’t be selfish. If you want people to be nice to you, you must stop being mean. If you want help, you can’t be rude. Become the very thing you want to become and you shall attract that which you desire.

Larry Hagman, the actor who played the villainous J.R. Ewing in the 1980s TV show "Dallas,'' has won his case that he was victimized by Citigroup Inc., and the bank was ordered to pay over $11 million in damages. The total award includes $10 million in punitive damages that Citi must pay to charities selected by Hagman, $1.1 million in compensatory damages and nearly $440,000 in legal fees.
Hagman, who also played astronaut Anthony Nelson in "I Dream of Jeannie'' in the 1960s TV show filmed in Cocoa, FL had requested $1.35 million in damages. He could not be reached for comment. Hagman accused Citi in May 2009 of a breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract, fraud by misrepresentation and omission, failure to supervise and violation of federal and state law, according to the ruling by an arbitration panel of FINRA, a self-regulatory body of the U.S. financial industry.
The allegations stemmed from unspecified securities held in Citi accounts, as well as the purchase of a life insurance policy. Hagman received the unusually large award after the arbitrators found Citigroup Global Markets "engaged in serious misconduct,'' meeting FINRA's standards for punitive damages, the ruling said.
This is a great sign across American people who had invested in securities schemes created by major Banks and Holding institutions. This is a fire across the bow that Banks and Securities firms who created bogus or fraudulent schemes can and should be held accountable. If you made an investment into some form of “Securities investment” and have lost big in your portfolio or lost your investment as a whole, you should contact your attorney and allow him / her to check and see if you have a case to suit and get your money back.

MEANS TO SUCCESS

I am more energized about personal success, growth and economic blessings now more than ever. God has opened my eyes to the "Biblical Entrepreneur" revelation. This divine insight has spawned a whole new sage of wisdom and passion.
In the Bible there is a story about a Wise man who saved an entire city from an invading army. However, the wise man was not remembered because he was poor (Eccl 9:15). Think of it, the ability to save a whole city but because of his poverty, his inability to influence reduced his divine wisdom to naught.
Here we are millenniums from that Wise man and still poverty restricts the greatest truth known to man - truth of the gospel of salvation. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." But without the means to spread that truth, deliver that truth and propagate that truth, what can such a truth do for a dying city?
What if you were given the ability to not only know the truth but the means by which to move mountains, save cities and transform lives? What if such a powerful opportunity, such profound information that could pour into your life a 1000 ideas, principles, tools, inspirations, and methods that would manifest itself as more money than you could spend? What if such knowledge and information would cost you your life? Would you give it? Of course you would. What if it only cost you a year's wage, would you sacrifice for it? Who wouldn’t? What if it cost only something as giving up soft drinks - that's right, Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, or Sprite? What if I said to you, I will give you enough knowledge and wisdom that could make you rich beyond your wildest dreams, would you be willing to give up a Coke a day?
Of course you would. What fool would not quit something that does him or her no physical good for information that would literally transform their lives, their family and their future? No one is that stupid to say no to such an offer - or would they?
A Coke can cost about $1.65 per can or bottle in your local 7-11, or drug store. I don't know anyone who drinks soft drinks who only drinks ONE a day (7 a week). THE ANOINTING

Thirty years ago my wife Jenny and I drove into Melbourne, Florida with my then two children, Chanda and Tim Jr with our youngest daughter Aleena to be born here five years later. Even though I spent four years of discipleship training under our pastor Dr RJ McIntyre in Baltimore, MD and four years of pastoral training in Jacksonville, FL under our pastor Will Cohorn, I was still only twenty five years old. I had eight quality intensive years of ministry training along with being raise up as a preacher’s kid (PK) of my Baptist preacher father.
I had under the tutorage of great men of God birthed evangelism, bus, kids, youth, music and drama ministries in Baltimore for four years and in Jacksonville for another four years. My wife and I had won dozens of souls to Christ in those eight years and rooted many families in the church. I preached at the Baltimore Centennial Celebration before 87,000 people and held “revivals” in several states. We taught near 100 Bible studies but even after great ministry successes, I came to Melbourne with one prayer; “Lord I can’t do this without you.”
‎30 years ago when I came to Melbourne, I said I did not come to build the biggest church in Melbourne, but I came to IMPACT. I then and now more than ever want to demonstrate the Kingdom of God, not simply put on a show. 30 years later, we have baptized 3875 and have seen 3583 to receive the Holy Ghost here in Melbourne alone. This is not counting the many thousands in 32 different countries around the world. To God be the glory.
30 years ago, our ministry was a mere infant. We grew into a toddler and then a young man as a church. We grew from infantile craze to a deeper appreciation of people and their needs. From gossip to glory, from selfishness to sacrifice and from appearance to anointing. No, we are not finished yet, but we’re no longer childish. What constitutes spiritual maturity in a church?
John offers us an insight in 1 John 2:11-13 when he explains we have three stages of maturity: Babies, Young men and Fathers. Babies can’t care for themselves; they need others to provide for them, watch over them and keep them safe from hurting themselves. Babies are very selfish in nature, needing full attention almost 24/7. The church as a child cries, What can God do for me? Then the church grows into young men; where they can care for themselves, ambitious and very strong working towards their careers. The church as young men cries, What can God do through me?
Then the church must become Fathers, but very few (in my opinion) ever reach this stage. Fathers no longer live for themselves, or strive for things. Fathers are all about their children. They work, strive and quest for legacy, not legitimacy. Fathers don’t care what others say about them, but they care totally about their offspring. The church as Fathers cries, What can God do? I have only meet a few churches and ministries that have ever come to Fatherhood status. I’m not simply talking about starting other churches; I’m talking about taking upon them the Father’s Mantle.
Now that we have reached our 30th Anniversary, we find ourselves walking into the Temple to pick up the Bible like we’ve never done before and read, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel” (Luke 4:18). Jesus was 30 when he was classified as a Grown Man and anointed to go… Heal the sick, raise the dead, feed the poor and preach the gospel to the world. I feel like Promiseland has now entered the stage of our Fatherhood. Now we are accepting our new mantle and Fathering fathers to have children to raise them to be young men. We are accepting the Adult stage of the Anointing.

IS THERE NOT A CAUSE?

David’s head snapped around with a grimacing look upon his face as he heard such vile and filth against his God echoing across the valley. “Who is that” David demanded from those on the front line of the battle? “That is Goliath, the giant” said one solder. After hours of political feuds with his fellow kinsmen, Davis was sickened by the plethora of excuses.
David spent most of the day trying to argue his case for doing something to retaliate against the twisted insults against his nation and his God. David meet one listless frivolity after another until he could take the indifference no longer. Everything in his soul and body wished to do something, even if it would cost him his very life. David in dire frustration screamed, “Is there not a cause?” (1 Sam 17:29).
There comes a time when sitting back waiting for someone else to do something will not do. There comes a moment in one’s life that he or she must rise up and take a stand whether anyone else will or will not do so. There are some things in our lives that are worth giving our time, energy, money and even our lives to defend. Look around us, our nation is in pearl. The spiritual soul of our cities is being sucked in by one corrupt influence after another. Lies, deceptions are lurking behind every corner. Someone must stand up and make a commitment to the cause of truth.
In 1900, India was a waste land of human debris. Poverty, sickness and starvation was the norm. The British Empire had ruled over India for centuries and was doing little to nothing to EMPOWER the people to a better life, mindset or economy. History records the British Empire did nothing but “strip India of its recourses and soul.”
Until a man by the name of Mahatma Gandhi came to the forefront. To this day, you can drive through Dali and see massive posters with his picture on it. But Gandhi has been dead for years. But his Vision is alive and well.
Gandhi painted a picture upon the minds of his fellow Indians of a FREE India. However, even with the Vision, it took the fellow poor, broken peasants to rise up and SEE the vision for themselves, their families, and their future.
How could poor, broken and weak people with nothing - make a difference? By catching the Vision, Gandhi showed them and rose up a people to bring it to pass. The people marched, protested and raised their voices until Freedom came.
Let me ask you – What do you SEE when you drive into the parking lot of your church? What do you see when you walk through the church doors? What do you see when you walk into the auditorium? What do you see when you see when you look into the faces of the many family members, coworkers, neighbors and friends?
I see hurting, needing, and hungry men and women everywhere who is waiting for someone to show them a brighter picture of life. Today, all around us we see so many who are hurting, broken and lost because of the economy, anxiety and a bleak future. Today is the day for we to step out to the forefront of the battle like David and cry, “Is there not a cause to commitment?

THINKING

His face was contorted and his eyes glared with no real focus. “What are you looking at?” Sarah, Sam’s wife asked. “Nothing, I’m just thinking” Sam replied. Was Sam really thinking? Joey gazed into space as he stared hard out the class room window. “Joey, stop day dreaming and get to work” Mrs. Aliceson barked. How is it that adults are awarded praise for “thinking,” while a child is rebuked for “day dreaming?” Thinking! What is it?
Thoughts, what are thoughts? Thoughts are defined as “the act or process of thinking. The product of thinking I find that a little funny. Thoughts are the product of thinking and thinking the act of creating thoughts. It reads like a Merry-go-round. Bare in mind, thinking creates thoughts and thoughts are the product of thinking, which nothing of the above definition leaves a man’s mind. What is thinking, as defined, than nothing short of “day dreaming?”
Often we hear of men and women these days who just sit around doing nothing but letting their minds “wonder.” They are “thinking” we say. The truth is; they are “day dreaming.” They are “spinning their wheels” we say. If I’m not mistaken, the automobile which spins its wheels is “stuck” and is really going nowhere.
What are “thoughts?” When we read of men in the Bible who “thought,” they almost inevitably got into trouble. When Abraham was asked why he lied about Sarah being his sister instead of his wife, he said “Because I thought” (Gen 20:11). When Balak, King of Moab hired Balaam to curse Israel, the Bible reveals that this evil was generated from “I thought” (Num 24:11). Ironically, the name Balak means “waster, emptying” (Lockyer, All of the Men of the Bible, 65).
The Hebrew word for “thought” is ‘amar, which can mean “suppose.” A good name for “thoughts” is supposition. A great truth can be gained from this truth. Those who like Balak, waste their time “supposing” something to be that is not, believing something is fact that is a lie, are in deed wasting their life away on emptiness.
When Naaman “supposed” that the Pastor Elishia would simply come to church and say a few words and he’d be healed, and didn’t, “Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought” (II Kg. 5:11). When David was on the bottom of depression and at the point of backsliding, he admitted, “When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me” (Ps. 73:16). David’s dilemma was all caused by the turning of the brain, supposition.
Now then after we have proven, “thoughts,” as we understand them, are not virtuous, let me explain future. Thinking as we have come to understand it is little more than meditation, churning our brain activity. “Mauling it over in the mind” is what we have called it. This kind of “thinking” is not true thinking. It is nothing more than a seed bed for mental imaginations.
We have learned that the devil uses the power he has to put thoughts into our minds. The Bible reveals that Satan is the “prince of the power of the air” (Eph. 2:2). The word “air” here is better defined as “subconscious.” Satan can not read our minds, but he can put thoughts and imaginations into our minds. This is why we are commanded “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5). Therefore, thoughts roaming free can be a base for the devil to generate “assumptions, wanderings, imaginations and visions which oppose the word of God.
Notice, when Job began to fear, trouble came to him. Job latter confessed, “In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men, 14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. 15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up” (Job 4:13-15). We read in the first chapter of Job that it was the devil that brought those “thoughts” and visions of torment in the night. Uncontrolled thoughts have power to create visions and imaginations which can be bad to one’s emotions.
Paul said it well, “When I was a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” (1 Cor. 13:11). The real true way of thinking is to “Write” your thoughts down, or “Speak” your thoughts. Spoken and written thoughts are the way God created in the beginning. What was in the mind of God in the beginning, he spoke it out. Jesus said, “It is written.” Real thinking must be done with a pen or with words.
The next time you start “thinking,” pull out a pen and start writing, you’ll be surprised what you put on paper. The next time you start having “thoughts,” speak it out and hear for yourself if it is of God or not. “Keep thy heart (thoughts) with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Prov. 4:23).

CONDITIONS OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

FREE LOVE – The biggest Paradox of the last Century. The two words in the same sentence, Free and Love is a joke. Let alone using Free as an adjective describing the noun LOVE. It’s as false as saying “Dry Water.” Just as Galileo, Sir Isaac Newton didn’t charge the world to use their discovery, did not mean that their discovery came FREE. The cost and value of such wisdom is priceless and extremely expensive to those who invested life to discover it. Even though we hold it free.
However, those who have dared to use Einstein’s Theory of Relativity without the reality that such expensive knowledge has brought the world to a near peril. This single piece of FREE knowledge has cost and is still costing the world $trillions (Nuclear Weapons).
Trying to teach a parent to give a child love unconditionally will cost that parent his life. For I as a Preacher of the Bible or counseling Psychologist try and teach a man or woman to love their spouse unconditionally will advise them in the Art of Sacrifice.
“For God so loved the world that he gave…” is still the most expensive “unconditional Love” known to the world. True, it cost YOU nothing for God to LOVE you unconditionally. It cost YOU nothing for God to display his love when you were unloving. Yes, it is true, “God loved us in while we were yet sinners” (Rom 5:8). When we could not love him, he loved us. Not because we deserved it but when we were at our worse. “Christ died for the ungodly” (Rom 5:6).
However, even when Jesus loved and gave his life for us, yet his death could have or would have done us NO good unless we would have RECEIVED his gift. “And whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
What are you saying pastor? I’m saying that LOVE, true love is real. It is not mere words on a card. It is not a flower in a vase. True love is blood, sweat and tears. Therefore, true love and selfishness cannot be in same room. Unconditional love is expensive. It is self sacrificing and can hurt. But the rewards are unparallel.
Every Blessing comes with Brokenness. Every gift comes with a price. Every love comes with a sacrifice. It is impossible for me to give or receive “Unconditional Love” by itself. I must RECEIVE unconditional love if it is to impact me. God can give unconditional love, but it will never reach me until I Receive it. The condition is “Whosoever believes.” The dynamics work in the Ebb and Flow. “We love him because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
There is no greater subject in all the world like that of LOVE. Love is the greatest feeling for feeling. Love is the eternal motive and cause for all creation. Love is seen in the father’s eyes and the mother’s embrace. Love is known by many and craved by all. Love is the most common subject yet one of the most perplexing subject.
Love has been the cause of wars and the cause of peace. Love has been the death to many and the life of most. Love is seen in the face of a two year old with his daddy. Love, true love is WORSHIP. To love God is to worship God. “Great love has no one than this that a man would lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). Jesus loved you so much he did MORE than just TALK. He GAVE – his all.

THE AMERICAN DREAM
Where did the phrase, “The American Dream” come from? If you give any attention to the liberal media today, you will believe that “The American Dream” is all about greed, corporate corruption and the evils of capitalism. However, if you take some time and research the real history and find the facts, you will find that the origin of “The American Dream” dates back over a century before Independence Day, July 4, 1776.
In fact, the phrase “American Dream” can be discovered in cottage prayer meetings and campfire stories from the hundreds of thousands of peasants who were nothing more than slaves to the Barons and Land Lords of Europe. Stories are written of many who would tell of Bible Prophecy of a land that “flowed with milk and honey” in opportunity for the common man to own his own home. Sermons in the hidden corners of cities all across Europe compared going to America like God’s people being freed from Egyptian slavery and going to the Promiseland. Songs and Hymns were written of going to the “Glory land” and being “Set free.” Years later those without knowledge of the original singer’s social plight thought the songs were about heaven. But biographies and writings revealed their songs were about freedom.
For centuries, and even millenniums before America was discovered, all of Europe’s people were held in slavery to the tyrannical rule of the Barons, Land Lords, Aristocrats and Bankers. The few elites who owned everything had made it illegal for the common people to own property. Only the few who lorded over the rest controlled all the land, business, trade and money till no one outside their circle could “get a piece of the pie.” No average common person could even start a business, nor even buy property if they had the means. Only the Nobles declared that they had the rightful heir of all the land and no one outside their heirs could ever own it.
The same historical evidence is found in Babylon, Persia, Egypt and literally every continent on planet earth throughout Bible history, let alone world history. Every continent during the past 5000 years has suffered slavery at the hands of tyrants from Asia, Persia, Africa, Europe and the Slovaks. No, it is neither right nor just, but every land has been enslaved by those who had the power and control over the land. If you owned land, you were in control. If you did not own property, business or freedom, you were a slave to those who did.
When America was discovered and opportunity was broadcasted to any European that they could own their own land, build their own house and farm their own land if they dared to take the trip. Hundreds of thousands risked their lives and many thousands died all to take the risk to own their own land. – So they could be FREE. Hence, “The American Dream” was named. For once in over a thousand years a peasant could change the destiny of his family.
The original American Dream was born from the hearts of common people who took the risk to change the course of their future. That dream is still alive today. Yes, we still are enslaved by the tyrannical suppressive “Barons, Bankers and Government Lords” through their tight grip on Real Property, Business and Exchange. But unlike many places around the globe, in America one can still take the risk of Owning his own property, start his own business and become free from being a slave to the “Owners” by becoming an “Owner” himself. If you can Dream it, you can become it. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you FREE.”

What’s in Heaven you failed to ask for?
Henry a good church member died and went to heaven. Saint Peter meet him at the Gates to welcome him. Took him to his mansion. Peter said, get settled in and I’ll come back in an hour and show you around. Henry was stunned, beautiful mansion, heaven, this is great. Peter picked him up and was taking him around seeing family, ministers, church folks – came by an amazing Hugh opulent gothic building. “What is that?” Would you like to see? Yes. Walking through with as far as the eye could see everything imaginable from gifts, treasures, miracles etc. Wow, whose is all this? No one’s. Why? It was all laid up for you but you never asked for it.

God Wins $11 Million Sweepstakes

The other twenty million finalists might as well give up. One of the gold-sticker-laden sweepstakes entry forms and magazine sales pitches that show up just about weekly in most Americans' mailboxes was sent to God.

American Family Publishers sent its computer generated entry form to “God of Bushnell” at the Bushnell Assembly of God; a church in central Florida. “God, we’re searching for you. You’ve been positively identified as our $11 million Mystery Millionaire” – the form read.

The fine print showed the Creator was merely a finalist, but the letter encouraged him to try his luck. “Imagine the looks you’d get from your neighbors: Well don’t just sit there God, come forward now and claim your prize” the marketing letter said.

Bill Brack, the church’s pastor told the Tampa Tribune that he had not yet decided whether the church would “enter God’s name in the sweepstakes.” Pastor Brack said, “Truth is, God already has $11 million dollars” as he chuckled.

Laugh out loud – I know it sure would be one of the funniest headlines ever read: “God Wins $11 Million from Sweepstakes.” I’m sure that wouldn’t be the first crazy news headline we’ve ever seen, but it would sure be one of the best ones.

ANTI CHRISTIAN MEDIA

Longtime Washington journalist Helen Thomas abruptly retired Monday as a columnist for Hearst News Service when she was caught on video disseminating her anti-Semitic slander of Israel. Following her remarks the White House denounced Helen’s slander. Even her press corps colleagues disassociated themselves from her. Thomas apologized for her comments that were captured on video and have spread widely on the Internet. On the May 27 video, Thomas says Israelis should "get the hell out of Palestine," suggesting they go to Germany, Poland or the U.S. Hearst announced her retirement, effective immediately, shortly after White House press secretary Robert Gibbs called her remarks "offensive and reprehensible."

Nesenoff, the man who caught Helen’s slander on tape told Yahoo news on Monday that he hadn't known of Thomas's views on the Middle East and was "shocked" by her comments. When Nesenoff asked Thomas whether she was familiar with the history of the region, Thomas mentioned to Nesenoff that she is of Arab background. Amazing how most of her media colleagues align their views with Helen Thomas almost 95% was forced to take a stand against her beliefs.

Fact is that most of the bias mainstream media takes a hard left against Israel, yet they know the public is over 80% for the nation of Israel and their struggle to survive. Even Brit Hume said that sitting beside Helen for many years in the White House briefing media room said “Helen has said comments like that all the time I knew her.” How is it then that the far left media and “American Journalism” philosophy can slander Israel and Christianity when they think no one is listening, but when they get out in public, they pretend they believe something else? Truth is, every now and then, they slip up and let their true beliefs show.

My real concern is if Helen Thomas and her media colleagues can slip up and show their true beliefs about Israel, what or should I say, when will they show their true beliefs about Christianity and Christians? If Helen can with an ugly anti-Semitic tone say the Jews should be cast out of Israel and taken back to Germany, when will she and her kind say that all Christians should be taken out of the United States? TAKING THE CHALLENGE

I think everyone knows the old most often quoted phrase; “Come on down.” It was the famous one liner used by Bob Barker with the old TV Game Show, “The Price is Right.” Originally the TV game show began in 1956, but was made famous when CBS re-released the show with their new host, Bob Barker. Barker with his infectious smile would sing the chant as the crowd erupted into applause; “Come on down.” The idea was to choose one of the audience members to take the challenge to come play the game and guess the price of whatever item, from a box of soap to an automobile. If the contestant won, he or she could win what was behind the curtain.
Throughout our lives, we all have had similar challenging settings. There we were, sitting in the audience of life, gazing over the lure of possibilities and as our eyes dance with excitement, we heard the challenging call, “Come on Down.” Now I know I’m over dramatizing the setting, but you get the picture. Fact is, every one of us is absolutely sitting in the arena of life and before us are real challenging opportunities. Truth is from day to day, we don’t know if opportunities will call our name that day or not, but there we sit. Ready or not, we will be required to respond to the challenge. Whether that challenge is choices with friends, college, career or entrepreneurship, we will face them with choices at hand. What we do with those opportunities could define if we win or lose, but we will have to choose.
Please allow me to provoke your mind to the notion that choices are not bad. Opportunities are the very things that make our life challenging, exciting and even great. Yes, I agree that such challenges can bring pain and problems, but even a turtle has to stick his neck out to get ahead. Abraham heard the challenging call that day from God – “Get up and get out.” Yes, it was exciting, but it also was fearful. Moses head the challenging call coming from a burning bush and yes, he too faced some very difficult situations, but Oh, what an opportunity! David heard the call in the voice of a Giant. John the Baptist heard the challenge in the wilderness. Paul heard the challenge from a thundering cloud. But all took the challenge.
Your challenging call might not sound or look so dynamic as Abraham, Moses or Paul, but I promise you – it will be. To these many I have brought to your attention and many hundreds more I have not, their challenging call afforded them great opportunities that not only won them their prize, but thousands of others too. Please hear me when I say to you, your challenging opportunity is not simply a “Game,” it is your life, your future. If you could close your eyes long enough to peek into your future and see what God has prepared for you, you would wave your arms with screams as opportunity calls your name. Don’t just sit there, jump up and run down to the stage of opportunity and allow God to reveal to you from behind his curtain what he has prepared to give you. Your prize is in your opportunities – Take the Challenge.

Father committed to riding the horse
Jonas took his son off on a “Father – Son” outing to developing some important bonding and use life to teach his son about commitment. The father was standing by the horse explaining to his son just how he was to hold on to the reigns, if not hold on to his neck but whatever you do, don’t let go. Commit to ride until she stops. The father climbed upon the horse to give a visible demonstration and all of a sudden the horse instantly jerked into a back and forth – seemingly gallop. The father was seated on the horse sideways and about fell off. He banged his head on the horse’s head, he was about to jump off when he remembered, “Commitment.” He held on for dear life. Jerking back and forwards, he held on until the horse came to a stop. Banged up, mouth bleeding, arm skinned up, his son standing there eyes wide open when all of a sudden the Wal-Mart manager walked up and said, “Sir those are for kids to ride.”

THOUGHTS BECCOME THINGS

We are amazing creature, we human beings. Born with the ability to stare truth in the face and not see a blessed thing. Our presence has graced the presence of earth for more than 10,000 years, and if you calculate Adam’s time (un-time) then it may well be millions. And yet, just 500 short years ago we thought the world was flat. And just a little more than 100 years ago we didn’t think we could get off the grown and fly. This begs to question, just what timeless truths are we still missing? Please allow me to suggest that I think I know what at least one of them is. In fact, we’ve all poked fun at it. Let me ask, have year heard the statement; “Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it?” Please indulge me; do you believe it’s true? How many of us have spent some real time to figure out exactly why this could be true?

LESSONS ABOUT GIVING

Just when I think I have learned all there is to learn concerning money, about giving tithes and offerings- bam, I discover volumes of Scriptures about money I never knew before. It’s amazing how controlling “money” is in the lives of so many. I put in words of a poem:
“Dug from the mountainside, washed from the glen. Servant am I or master of men.
Steal me I curse you, earn me I bless you. Grasp me or hoard me, Others shall possess you.
Live for me, die for me. Covet me, take me. Angel or Devil I am what you make me.”
Someone wrote: “Money will buy: A bed but not sleep. Books but not brains. Food but not appetite. Finery but not beauty. A house but not a home, Luxuries but not culture. Medicine but not health. Amusements but not happiness. A crucifix but not a Savior. A church but not a heaven.”
It was Jesus who sat over on the side and observed how people gave in the offering. While he was doing so, he called the attention of his disciples to watch and learn as well (Mark 12:41-33). It was the widow’s mite, the smallest coin, compared to the rich man’s bag of gold that Jesus used to teach his disciples a lesson. The amount that people gave wasn’t what captured my attention. It was that Jesus sat over in the corner and observed what people gave. And what is more unique was that Jesus took time to teach his disciples about the giving process. It mattered so much to Jesus of how and what proportion did people give that he sat aside and observed.
A person has departed from God if they are not giving tithes and offerings (Mal. 3:7). God revealed how one is robbing God if he fails to pay his tithes & offerings. Think of this. What should it matter, you might ask? According to Lev 1:4, God told Moses to tell the people that when they gave of their offerings, God would account their giving as of giving of themselves. Meaning, that when we give our tithes or an offering, God records it as if we gave our very person. Why is that? Because God knew that we exchange our time, talent and life’s blood to work in exchange for money. Therefore, when we give our money, we in essence are giving our very life. No wonder Jesus watched people give.
Tithes and offering giving is an institution God created. All that have is a gift from God and belongs to God in the first place. God said, “Return to me and I will return to you. We asked, how shall we return to you? And God said, you shall return to me in your giving of your tithes and offerings” (Mal 3:7). Wow, giving was the act of our spiritual reconnection to God. Tithing is an act of love and thanksgiving for material things received from God's Creation. Tithing is an act of confession of obligations to God who has been your helper in time of need.
Tithing is the key to divine blessings. Jacob left Canaan empty and returned with much cattle and many servants after he started tithing. If God gets His part, He said he would bless the rest. Truth is, when we give the tithe, the remaining 90% will go further under the blessing of God, than 100% being cursed (Mal. 3:10, Lu. 6:38, 2 Cor. 9:6). When people follow God’s method of tithes and offerings, church ministries are freed to fulfill their purpose. When tithes and offerings are practiced, it is a blessing to the church and unchurched alike.
One who does not tithe does not consider any of the above things mentioned, they are not grateful, don't feel obligated to God, cares nothing for His cause, recognizes no higher authority than himself, doesn’t count God's blessing significant. Those who fail to tithe not only robs God but hinders the spread of the gospel. God's work requires money, tithes and offerings are God's way of financing the gospel. How much money would a public school system receive if it depended on the passing of a hat at a local PTA meeting to pay the bills? How would our county government make out if it depended on our taking up a collection at Memorial and Independence Day parades?
C.S. Lewis said of the early church, "I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more that we can spare, if our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc, is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving too little. If our charities do not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say they are too small."
A certain family had gone to church and on the way home the father criticized the sermon, the mother found fault with the organist, and the eldest daughter talked about the singing. But the subject was suddenly dropped when the small boy of the family said, "Daddy, I think it was mighty good program for a nickel."
“God, break to the needy sweet charity's bread, for giving is living, the angel said.
And must I be giving again and again? My peevish and pitiless answer ran.
oh, no said the angel, piercing me through, Just give till the Lord stops giving to you.”

Boy writes letter to God for $100
A little boy wanted $100.00 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened. Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100.00. When the postal authorities received the letter to God , they decided to send it to the President. The president was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill. The letter went out with the $5 from the White House letterhead. The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 bill and sat down to write a thank-you note to God, which read: Dear God: Thank you very much for sending the money. However, the next time, do not use or send it through Government, those crooks deducted $95.00 in taxes.

A FAMILY AFFAIR

The typical family would spend time together in their back yard, playing games and eating fresh grilled hamburgers. The most famous place families spend time together is at the neighborhood park. However, the most desired place for our family to spend together is at the mall, or shopping center. Browsing through stores is a family affair for the McClure's. The three most prominent stores our family spends the most time in are clothing, book, and toy stores.
The first store my wife, Jenny, heads for is the clothing department store. My three children and I follow close behind my wife as if we were on a guided tour, exploring the variety of sales and special deals. It doesn't take long till each family member is engulfed in his or her own particular world of clothing My wife heads right for the little girl section with Aleena, our seven year old, hand in hand, scouting out the latest. Timmy, my sixteen year old "man", explores the latest power looks of hats, shirts, and gym gear. Chanda, our nineteen year fashion model, smothers herself in an array of cool frills, and the latest up-beat conservative fashions. We eventually came together and compared our findings. After a couple of hours and two hundred dollars, we're ready to move on. At least I am.
The next prominent store the family heads for is the book store. It's a good thing that the whole family loves books, or it could a division of a great relationship. I could easily spend all day looking through books, titles, topics, ideas, and yes, pictures. The family can just walk past a book store and my seven year old, will grab my arm, and say, "No daddy, no, not the book store." Our family experiences some of the greatest fun together, sharing jokes from joke books and the latest from the comics. The funniest of all is the subliminal new age section. We'll roll in laughter, as I read a line or two from one of the far out philosophies of the latest new age advocates.
The family's fun day can not conclude until we visit the toy store. Some may think that toy stores are for kids only, but there not. My wife usually sights the famous proverb to me: "The only difference between men and boys, is the price of their toys." I must admit, the toy store is the greatest cure for the problem with the generation gap. Our family never fails to hit it off at the toy store. The games and toys we take with us, provide months of entertainment at home.
Thank God for clothes, book, and toy stores. For our family, spending time at the mall, or shopping center is a great family affair.

CURSE OF ADDICTION

It felt as if the walls were caving in on me as I walked down the long, narrow hall leading to the psychiatric ward extension of Wuesthoff Hospital. I was there to visit George Robinson, who was court ordered to receive psychiatric treatment. A creepy feeling overcame me when the security guard locked the door behind me. Shock overwhelmed me as I stared into the faces of what looked like three hundred neurotic deranged human beings. Even though I had only spoken to George a few times prior to this visit, I was there at his request. I came to help him overcome his sixteen years of alcohol addiction. As I walked through the crowd, looking for George, I saw people engaging in elaborate conversations with the walls, while others stared silently into space. Paranoia eased from me when a few "normal" people nodded and said hello. I remember thinking as I looked across the Ward, "this is the curse of addiction." If nothing else gave me reason to thank God I was not a drug addict, that experience did. As I gazed at the crowd of men and women, young and old, it became evident to me that drug addiction destroys the mind, separates families, and leaves the addict functionally helpless.
One of the first things alcohol and other drugs do to a person's mind is destroy virtually millions of irreplaceable brain cells. (According to the Center for Drug and Alcohol Treatment of America). From my experience at Wuesthoff Psychiatric Ward, I did not need many facts or statistics to prove to me that drug addiction destroys the mind. Drug addiction is a slow death, according to Dr. John B. James of Johns Hopkens Alcohol Research Center in Baltimore, Maryland. It was clear to me, after talking with George Robinson, that sixteen years of alcoholism had almost stripped him of his self worth and esteem. Even his conversation seemed to jump from one subject to another. I found it hard to make sense of what he was trying to say. It was evident that drug addiction was a psychological curse.
Another way that I saw drug addiction as a curse was the way it separated families. As I talked to George that day, he revealed to me that his addiction had driven a deep wedge between him and his father. George confessed that he lost every friend that he ever had. Drugs had destroyed almost every promising relationship George ever had. At thirty years of age, George Robinson had no real friends, no plans of marriage, no children, and no loving relationship with his mother or father. I was a preacher he had only met four or five times, and he said that I was the only one he could call for help. This brought new meaning to the latest government reports that found drug addiction to be one of the leading causes for divorce in America.
Finally, not only does drug addiction destroy the mind and relationships, it also renders the addict virtually helpless in securing a meaningful future. George Robinson had a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He was a skilled carpenter, a wind surfing champion, and a very skillful surfboard designer. George, at one time, owned a very successful surfboard manufacturing business, and alcohol addiction had taken it all away. I didn't need all the facts and figure that day to convince me that drug addiction would destroy a man's future success. If George was ever to enjoy a successful future, alcohol would have to go. Clearly, drug addiction was a curse to him.
It took George eight months of hard work to overcome his addiction. After nine years of drug free living, George Robinson has his right mind, is happily married and is a successful businessman in Melbourne, Florida. My experience with helping George overcome his addiction has revealed to me, the unforgettable curse of addiction.

12 Ingredients of a Perfect Day

Time is the most valuable commodity in your life. Time is more valuable than money, things, stuff, goods or prestige. If you lose your house, you can always get another one. If you lose your friends, you can make new ones. If you lose your time, you can never replace it. Cherish your time above everything that is given to you.
Energy is powerful substance you have been given with regard to your assignment. If you learn your purpose, educate yourself to accomplish it and network all the friends and family to assist you, but you run out of the energy to follow through, all your resources’ become in vain. You must always be conscious of your energy level – measured by passion, health, excitement, ambition and activity.

1. PURPOSE – what is that single most definite purpose in life that you were place on earth to accomplish? Why were you born? If you cannot articulate that in detail, then list the Single most important thing that you MUST do this year. What is it that you want to DO, ACCOMPLISH, HAVE, REACH this year? What is that one thing that you and you alone can and must do? Start with this. Every day of your life must be centered on your PURPOSE. If you don’t, you’ll spend a lifetime of doing stuff that matters NOTHING to you or yours. “To this end was I born and for this purpose I came (John 18:37).
2. PRAYER – converse with God daily about what it is that HE wants of you and for you. Never start a day without first “checking in with God.” It is a major mistake to go to God after you messed up something, asking his help to FIX it, than it is to go to God before you DO for direction on what and how to live. Prayer is getting the mind of Christ before your thoughts so you can KNOW what and how to do. “Everything by prayer (Phil 4:6).
3. PRESCRIPTION – To lay down as a guide or rule of action, to direct the use of something as a remedy. A written direction: (medical term = plan of cure). A LIST of what you want to accomplish towards your ultimate goal. Prescription is meant as preparation. Put all the stuff you want to accomplish on paper and sift through it before you plan. “Steps of a good man are order by God (Ps 37:23).
4. PLAN – written down outline or steps you must take to get you to your desired goal. This “plan” should only be two or three things per day that you MUST accomplish. Never write out more than three things. If you were able to accomplish just one a day, in one year, you would have accomplished 365 powerful plans – steps that took you towards your ultimate purpose in life. “Failing to Plan is a sure Plan to Fail.” “Set your house in order (Isa 38:1).
a. WRITE down your plan of action: “Success Schedule, To Do List, Action Plan, etc. but whatever you call it, you must write it down:
5. PRIORITIZE - Every plan must have some order to it of priority or you will simply move with your plan in mind – thinking you are getting things done. Obviously, you must put the first and most important thing you HAVE to do this day or else – if you are going to be successful with your time and energy. Place the first things first. If you have 10 things down on your list and stayed busy all day and all you did was drive, drycleaner, grocery, gas, mop, etc., but failed to DO your purpose, you will have wasted your day. “Seek first the Kingdom (Matt 6:33
6. ORGANIZE – Put your plan down in an order, such as 1, 2, 3, or by Hours, or Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Action, Phone calls, Paper, etc. There is no way that your purpose, plan or priority will become a reality unless you organize it. You must put your purpose down in an ORDERLY fashion. What to do first?
7. NETWORK – Above communication, you need to network. Networking means touch bases with all those in your life you NEED in order to accomplish your single most definite purpose in life. Communicate with everyone you need to, connect with your mentor (person or paper), recap what your superiors have put in your IN box, ask, ask, ask what it is that you need, they demand, etc. = success.
8. EDUCATE – Every day should always have in it a book, audio or some source of tool that ADDS value to your Spirit, Soul and Body. If you are not GROWING daily, you are SHRINKING. Always keep a book, audio lesson, article, memory, etc. on your person, car, bathroom, work, etc. so you can access it when you have the time. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). “You shall know the truth, make you free (John 8:32). Use your activities, failures, short falls and successes to educate you also. Recap your day and learn from it.
9. EXERCISE – Your brain will only last as long as your body. Your health is the key to your endurance. Physical health is paramount to your emotional health. If your body is sluggish, so will be your brain. 8 minutes a day of some form of exercise can and will keep you on the top 10% of the world. Stretch, Move & use your daily routine to exercise: Squats, Pick-up, Posture, Leg movements, etc.
10. FELLOWSHIP – unlike networking, fellowship is for human development. While networking is meant for your purpose success, fellowship is for your personal success. Fellowship is with your spouse, children and friends. Fellowship is used to recap priorities, assist you with keeping things in perspective. Fellowship forces you to accomplish your purpose with others in mind, not a selfish motive.
11. ENTERTAIN – We all need to Replenish our mind from the daily depletion. Entertainment is a time to laugh, reprise, refuel, and refresh your soul and mind. Some can use exercise as entertainment while others use reading a book. Some use a hobby while others use sports or show. Mix it up if you can.
12. REST – Proper sleep will add up to 8 years to your life. Babies need 10-12 hours, youth need 8-10 hours and adults 6-8 hours of sleep. Each hour before midnight is worth more than 2 hours after midnight. If you sleep 10-12 hours and wake up, you will be sluggish all day. Why? Unhealthy. “Come aside and rest (Mark 6:31). I will give you rest (Matt 11:28).

THE SCIENCE OF BREAKTHROUGH
If anyone dares step into a Spirit filled church or listen to a dynamic speaker, be he a preacher or motivational speaker, one will hear something along the line of pressing through where ever they are right now and into where they wish to be. “Press toward the mark of the high calling of God” Paul admonishes. “Forgetting those thing which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before” Paul again challenges. Jesus even proclaimed, “No one who has put his hand to the plow and looked back is fit for the Kingdom.”
Webster attempt to define Breakthrough as “an offensive thrust that penetrates and carries beyond a defensive line in warfare, an act of breaking through an obstacle, a sudden advance especially in knowledge or technique.” I must admit that after 18 years of growing up in a Baptist preacher’s home and the next 36 years in Pentecost, I have heard 200-300 sermons on “Breakthrough.” However, far too little was given to me of a “step by step” practical system or explained principle of exactly HOW to experience a genuine “Breakthrough.” I’ve heard cheesy gimmicks like, “Turn around three times and shout Jesus.” Or, “tonight if you will just stand on your feet and dance for Jesus, you will dance you way out.” Sorry, but the most common on Christian Television would be something like; “You can give your way into your breakthrough.”
Please, the last thing I wish to do is to offend anyone who holds dear to some of those moments of spiritual euphoria. Maybe it just comes from my years of practical experience and decades of Biblical knowledge, but no one can read very far into the Bible and not acknowledge that God is not some hap-hazard, off the cuff weirdo. God has designed a planet, solar system and universe that has more laws of nature and universe than it seems we can discover. If I have found anything about God in my past 54 years of life circumference about God is He works according to principle.
I have found that if one is going to actually experience a “Breakthrough” in anything of their life, spiritual, relational, emotional, physical or financial, one MUST learn the absolute fundamental principles of HOW to experience such a breakthrough. I call it the “Science of Breakthrough.” If one is going to break through the obstacle of health that is holding one back from health, proper weight, free from disease, then one will be forced to activate the Biblical principles that guarantee such a break through. Such as the Law of Faith (Rom 3:27). The Law of your Mind (Rom 7:23). Such principles as Jesus explained, “I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:23).
Please, can we grow up? Stop this foolishness of spin around three times, jump up and down and shout NO at the devil and you will get your breakthrough. I’m not against your shouting or jumping. I do that and love it. But to suggest that our human antics or aerobics will break through the obstacle of sin, Satan or stupid is absurd. It will take nothing less than the absolute laws of God to retrieve the particular “breakthrough” that we need. Let us learn, love and leverage the divine Science of Breakthrough and live the life God intended us to on the other side of whatever it is that’s holding you back.

A Quick Recipe for A Church Split
Take two good rumors, add a little spice, beat in several old accusations, pour in several dissatisfied church members, season to taste and then beat until firm. Spread out the mixture as far as possible throughout the church (the fact that it is thin is okay). Bake at a high temperature until you think it’s done. Serve when ready. This is a meal that should never be found upon our plate.

In the Shadow of the Cross

In the Shadow of the Cross Easter Passion play / drama this year is going to be a dramatic presentation of a step by step of the High Priest sacrifice in the Tabernacle of the Wilderness on Passover. Once a year, Moses would go through the ceremony of offering a lamb sacrifice to God for the sins of the whole nation of Israel for Atonement.

Each step had a significant meaning then and also a prophetic meaning to the times of Christ. And the ultimate application to you and I here today is still affecting us and will for all eternity. The first step was the sacrifice on the Altar. The significance of this is found in Jesus' death for us as a substitute. The second step was to wash at the Laver. This was significant of when Jesus died and when they pierced his side and out came water and blood. A type of water baptism when the blood of Jesus Christ washes our sins away. The third step was in the Holy Place where the Table for the Candle stick, and the table of the Bread then the Altar of Incense. Each held a significance of Jesus being the Light of the World, the Bread of life and praying for us as our intercessor. The the final and most important was past the Vail into the Holy of Hollies where the Ark of the Covenant was. This was where Moses stepped into and sprinkled blood on the four horns of the Mercy seat for the offering of the sacrifice to God in heaven. Upon this, God would accept the sin offering and pour out his glory in the tabernacle and the whole nation would see the glory of God shining down upon the Tabernacle. This signified that God accepted their offering and forgave them of their sins.

HOW TO HANDLE STRESS IN OUR TIMES

STRESS CAUSED BY WORK
When Elijah did not see the results in others, he became very stressed out. Strange, isn’t it? Just when you find yourself right in the middle of the place you wanted to be for years, it seems like it didn’t give you what you “Expected.”
This is where “Stress” comes to knock you off course. Work attracts attack.
Stress hits the people who want something out of life. Men and women who AIM for something or try to become something are the ones who experience stressed.
I have a “Quick Fix” cure for all stress: “Plan nothing, Desire nothing, Reach for nothing, Have nothing and Do nothing.” The people who get criticized are the people who “Have” something, “Do” something & “Are” something. If you don’t want criticism, Do nothing, Have nothing and be nothing. Notice, it was when Elijah “had done...” he was attacked I King 19:1-4

Get to doing something and the devil will show up to kill you. If he can’t kill you, get you to backslide, get you to quit - he’ll just give you STRESS !!!!!!!
FOUR DOWN-STEPS OF STRESS
Notice again, Elijah’s Stress Signs: “When he saw what Jezebel ...” Elijah got his eyes off of revival at Mt. Carmel and focused on what Jezebel was saying she was going to do. Notice, the “Seduction of Stress:”
IKing 19:1-4 ..Elijah had done ... 2 Jezebel put hit out on Elijah 3 “when he saw that”, he ran for his life, and left his servant. 4 went into the wilderness, and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested to die; and said, It is enough;[it’s too much] now LORD.
1.) One of the first things “Stress” will do is cause you to “Leave” your co-workers and spiritual support. Stress irritates until one doesn’t want to be around another person. This is called neurosis in psychology. [It’s my fault]. What was it that Elijah’s servant did that caused Elijah to want to leave him? Nothing! The servant had nothing to do with it. The same thing happens to we today if we let “Stress” get to us.
2.) The second thing which Stress does to us is makes us desire to get alone and “Pout.” Elijah left and went into the wilderness and “Sat” under a Juniper tree. Stressed out people find it easy to make excuse to “Quit” - sit down. Juniper means a pole, stem, broom, yoke, bind.
3.) Thirdly, stress will bring a person to a place where he or she sees no worth or reason of their place in the Kingdom. Not only a give up and quit spirit, but stress takes us so far that we can not see our purpose of living this way of life anymore. “What’s the use?” spirit sets in. The spiritual suicide demon takes over like it did with Cain, Saul, Judas...
4.) Fourthly, stress brings a person to a place where one says, “It’s too much.” This spirit of hoplessness destroys all faith. Healings can’t come to you, miracles have no effect and salvation has lost all power to save. “Stress” is an evil spirit.
INTERNAL ATTACK OF STRESS
Ps 42:1-6
DISQUIETED (H) raw-gaz; to quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger or fear): be afraid, stand in awe, disquiet, fall out, fret, move, provoke, rage, trouble.
Depression is an internal pressure. Oppression is an outside pressure. Oppression is caused usually by the devil; “Jesus healing all that were oppressed of the devil” (Acts 10:38). Oppression is caused by enemies “Jesus was oppressed and afflicted by the Jews” (Is. 53:7). However, depression comes from within. This can be caused by outside pressure until one believes what they say and now join the pressure. “David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him “ (1 Sam 30:6). When his men blamed David, it caused David to feel guilty and depression set in. Saul was depressed over his jealousy of David, God leaving him and Philistines war against Israel. Saul blamed himself = depression (1 Sam 28:15). Depression killed Saul’s destiny. Depression stopped Elijah’s future ministry cold:

“Upon this Rock, I will build my church” (Matt 16:18). Church is defined as; n 1. A building for public worship 2. People who demonstrate their love for God by loving and serving others. Tabernacle in the Wilderness was a “type and shadow” metaphor of the Church that Jesus Built. No, the church is not perfect, but the designer is.
Angie pulls into the parking lot as she does every Monday night, but on this night she drives past her usual parking area and parks her car by the maintenance building. Walking back toward the church, she silently thanks God – again for the mechanics who volunteer their time & talent on Monday nights. While Angie attends the ministry for single mothers and her daughter attends a class for children of divorce, a grease smeared hero replaces her U-joints on her car. This is church
Peanut butter, Spaghetti, Baked beans, Powdered milk, Coffee, Cereal, Soup, Diapers, Shampoo, Toothpaste… Sue continues down the list, buying three of each item requested. The checkout clerk comments on her triplicate buying, but Sue just chuckles. On Sunday, Sue wraps the bags of groceries in garbage bags and leaves them on the pavement behind her car while she attends church. During service, volunteers gathers them all and stocks the food pantry for needy families. This is church
The young man weeps as he reveals a story of child hood abuse so cruel that its victim, his wife buried the memories in her subconscious mind for 15 years. But now the surfaced tormented memoires shattered the tranquility of their home till it is now threatening the security of their marriage. Both husband and wife are leaders but feel helpless. The husband sits alone in the middle of his peers. When he finishes his story, one man reaches out and tests his hand on his shoulder, while another grips his arm. Soon he’s wrapped in a corporate embrace. With passion they all begin to pray for over an hour while tears soak him with deep heartfelt love. This is church
“But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to guilt. Therefore is you are offering your gift before God and you remember that your brother has been wronged by you, leave your gift there and go to your brother and be reconciled, then come back to the altar and worship God.” You know what these words mean, the pastor asks? Can we honestly love God while we hold a grudge against someone? As he speaks the rustle begins in the pews. Within minutes hundreds have left their seats. Some are weeping with each other asking for forgiveness, while others kneel at the altar making things right. This is church

Whether you're making a PBJ sandwich or an airline reservation, you're coming into close contact with invisible charges that make goods and services more expensive. Everyone knows there are federal taxes on tobacco and alcohol, but did you know the feds take a bite out of your afternoon candy bar? There are plenty of unexpected taxes that raise the price of goods and services -- sin taxes, import duties, user fees and excise taxes on things as varied as gas guzzlers, firearms, communications services and air travel. "The less visible a tax is, the less likely taxpayers will be aware of it, unsettled by it and advocate against it," says economist Jared Bernstein of the Economic Policy Institute in Washington, D.C. You may feel lucky in Las Vegas, hit the lottery or have a good day at the racetrack, but all winnings are taxable as regular income. There's a tax on the life insurance policy that your employer so generously gives you as a benefit if it is over $50,000. "Most of the hidden taxes pertain to products we buy rather than wages we earn," adds Pete Sepp, a spokesman for the National Taxpayers Union, a watchdog group in Washington, D.C.
Think going “American First” is better, well look closer and find the Government tax policy is part of the problem of destroying “America First.” Goods from brooms to bicycles may carry excise taxes to make them more expensive. It's one way the government keeps the price of imported products artificially high and makes it easier for domestic ones to compete for business. "You are paying more than you would otherwise pay," says Patrick Fleenor, an economist for the Tax Foundation, a Washington, D.C., group. Here are some items whose prices are jacked up with import taxes: Bicycles at 11%, School supplies 5%, Hammock 15%, Infant formula 18%, Linens 12%, Flashlights 18%, Brooms 32%, Girdles 24% and Peanut Butter 143%.

An interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine this week, which I quote: "If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers. The firearm death rate in Washington, DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and killed in the US capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the US, than you are in Iraq Conclusion: The US should pull out of Washington D C." (Australian Shooter Magazine).

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?
The day was beautiful. The sun was out offering a warm coating across my skin. The wind was mild providing enough movement that made the clouds looked like they were dancing. You could hear the laughter of the children playing all across the church parking lot. The chatter of adults offered just enough tone to secure any concerns this unusual day might offer. As I looked around, I was impressed at the massive crowd of church families who came out to the small pond that was situated in the back lawn of the church. Yes, today was the day Pastor Slaggle of First Baptist in Essex, Maryland had been pushing for more than a month.
However, as a kid of 12 years of age, I paid little attention to the significance leading up to this day with exception to the fact, I was one of the ones who was going to be baptized. You see, Pastor Slaggle and the church leadership had outlaid a month long vision of growing the church with the notion of adding 100 to the church membership. Baptism was the crowning ceremony of this month long vision.
I recall my mother being right there at my side while my father was caught up in the energy of the service and ceremony. “Well glory” you could hear him shout at times through his unique tearful expression he could share. I glanced over to see who Dad was talking with at the moment I saw him lightly slap the deacon on the chest with the back of his hand. It raised a small smile to my face as I was taken in from all the hundreds of people all over the parking lot and church grounds. “Wow, mom look at all the people,” I said.
There were more than 100 people that were lined up to be baptized with me. I still recall looking around trying to capture the picture of what all of this was about. My young mind was so enthralled by the whole event. Wow and I was a part of it. I felt like I was one of those who were making all this possible as I walked down into the water. I could feel my soul rise to this grandiose vision until I caught a glimpse of all the leaves in the water. I put my hand down under the water and realized how dirty the water was.
I can’t even remember the pastor taking me by the hand and reciting the baptismal words over me. My eyes were wide open when he put me under. I was totally engulfed in the “millions” of leaves as I was plunged under the water, looking up. He brought me up while my family was rejoicing, I could think of nothing except “all them leaves and this water is dirty.”
Amazing, when I recall that story it reminds me of so many today in the church. Some of the most dynamic moments God offers us each and every service and all we can see is the dirt. Shocking isn’t it that just when God draws us into his arms for a powerful experience we lose sight of the Vision because of the distractions that fills our surroundings. Just about the time we step into “our moment” that will make history, some dirt draws us away.
God knows how many times the Vision – the Big Picture is lost because of some stupid dirty mess around us knocks us off focus. How many have lost their footing just about the time they were about to reach their Mt Everest! Look at the marriages that came tumbling down the cliff just before they reached their apex all because of some filthy mess distracted them.
Don’t allow one dirty pond filled with nasty leaves ruin your once in a life time moment in God, church or life. Please, don’t allow the dirt around us knock us off focus from this God given VISION we have received. Stay focused on the event, not the dirt. Maintain your gaze on the next five years, not the next hour of trash. Don’t allow the five words of slander destroy 10 years of sermons. I know it might be hard, but resist the scaring pain from abuse wreck 20 years of marriage. Reject the poisonous thought of moving 10 hours away from your family to save 10 minutes of discomfort.
Yes, I agree with you, the water is dirty and the leaves are nasty. Please, don’t misunderstand me. I hate the filth too, but I refuse to through the baby out with the bath water. Let me ask you now, what are you looking at? The dirt, the leaves or the ceremony?

EVIL AND GOD'S EXISTENCE

The Law of Opposites is just a variation of the Law of Unintended Consequences. Such an idea is easily seen in Hot and Cold, Rough and Smooth and millions of similar comparisons. Therefore, if there is good, then there must be evil. The other side of the coin of God is evil is one philosophical way of trying to understand the existence of evil.
Or from another perspective, because evil exists, good in humans and nature will manifest itself to help to prevent evil or assist with the effects of evil. Thereby solidifying the absolute need for God (good) in the earth that is plagued with evil. Because there is hatred in the world, this of necessity demands for love to exist. Without love, hatred would neither exist. This in some twisted way leave the world to be no more than a robotic, unchanging mass of existence. Such illogical existence would leave life void of reason or purpose.
However, evil is not the opposite of God. In this mythological science it would give way to the notion that evil is fighting God and God is fighting evil as if evil is the opposite equivalent to God. As love is the opposite of hate, hot is the opposite of cold, and so on, some assume that the opposite of evil is God – NO. One can say that the opposite to evil is good and that all good is created by God.
Good is a creation of God while evil was the creation of the devil and choice of mankind. Evil is not an omnipresence of eternal existence, but rather a byproduct of disobedience. No one has ever known of evil until the rippling choices of bad has manifested itself in one’s life.
Evil came into existence as a result of disobedience. Now evil becomes an adverse consequences of disobedience (bad choices). The evidence of this truth is found within the ability of one or society to chose good, create and develop laws that govern one or one’s family or one’s society. Upon the obedience to such laws of good, love, truth, kindness, joy, etc. then the one, family or society will live with the benefits of such.
If one chooses to “disobey” such laws of good, then evil is the reactive effect. Evil is not an eternal existence that “brings balance” to the earth, but rather a disease that is the result of disobedience from either the one or the many.

IF THERE IS A GOD, WHY THE EVIL?

We have all heard the famous quote, “If there is a God, why is there evil?” Truth is, for we who believe in the Bible find the answer readily explained. God is the creator of all that is good and perfect. And found within creation is what we call, Free Will. Even Angels had the power to chose and Lucifer chose to create pride within him (Ez 28:15). With this, Lucifer created SIN and from sin came all that is evil.
Lucifer (Satan) came into the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve and succeeded in having her and Adam to eat the forbidden fruit (Gen 3:1-6). From this, sin was born into the human family. From Sin has come everything that is evil (Rom 5:12-21). Through man’s choice does evil come upon all, whether they are good people or bad people (Matt 5:45). Sin is the cause of all “evil” that comes upon earth, whether that evil comes from nature, human behavior, whether premeditated or accident. Evil does not come as a decision of God, but as a reaction of SIN.
This truth is found within the laws that govern the universe. Take for an example the law of gravity. This law exists whether a person believes in gravity or not, or whether a person is good or evil. As an example, let’s say these two people (good and evil) are standing out on a ledge of a 40 story building and they both fall or jump. Which one dies? Both of them do. God didn’t make a decision to “kill” them, the laws of gravity holds the power to enact its repercussion upon violators of its law.
The law of gravity is not bias nor prejudice. It would not save the good man and kill the evil man. The law of gravity has no bias choice within itself. If I realize there is such thing as the law of gravity and learn to understand how it works and then respect it, then I reap the benefit from my respect. If I chose to ignore it or to disobey it, I will reap the judgment of its repercussion.
If I wish to say, God is the creator of the Law of Gravity and thereby credit him to such deaths to the good and evil person who suffered from their ignorance or arrogance, then my credit (though wrongfully assigned) may well be a twisted attempt to affix God as the “fault” of such tragedy.

TWO OR THREE

You’ve heard of or read the verse that reads: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matt 18:20). I have heard this verse of Scripture miss-quoted and miss translated my whole life. The typical translation sounds like this; “I know there is only a couple of us here, but the Bible says where two or three are gathered together, God is here.” For years many has justified their not attending church by trying to site this passage as their excuse. Truth is the verse has nothing to do with “attending church.” The focus is on a fellow Christian sinning against another Christian and refusing to repent. The instructions are given in Matthew 18:15-20 to address the sins of a fellow believer. The final step is to take the offending believer before the whole church to repent and if he will not, then the leadership is to separate the offending believer from the church. Like a disease, you must cut the disease out of the body in order to save the body. You do not save the disease and lose the body. And when the action is taken by the church leadership and the church body to separate the offending believer, Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered (pass judgment) in my name (representing me) there will I be in the midst of them (I will stand behind their judgment against the defiant offending member.” The passage is about authority, not church attendance.

Jesus Sat Down

“Jesus, after he offered one sacrifice for sins forever sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool” (Heb 10:12-13).

I have for near 50 years have heard Christians pray, worship, sing and even preach suggestive words of such requests, demands or even declaratives that Jesus is to go out and move on someone’s heart, save the lost or go and heal the sick. In other words, our theology sounds like we Christians are telling Jesus to go out into the field and do what Jesus told us to do.
Yes, I am saying that it is NOT truth that we Christians have any position to TELL Jesus to go out and do what he told us to go out and do. We have no more power, right or position to tell Jesus either in prayer, worship or sermon to go out into the highways and byways and save the lost, heal the sick or deliver the oppressed.
Ridiculous! It was Jesus who told we Christians to “go out into the highways and byways and … heal the sick, raise the dead, freely you have received, freely give” (Matt 10:1-5). The Bible fact is, Jesus came and DID his purpose on earth (written in the gospels) and died, buried and rose from the dead and ascended into heaven and SAT DOWN. No, Jesus is NOT going to get up and do OUR work for us. It was Jesus who SENT US OUT into all the world to win the lost, heal the sick and raise the dead.
I hope and pray that our misunderstanding or ignorant theology is the fault of our wrong belief and not our ineptness. I pray that our false allusion of Jesus being responsible of doing the work of the church is based on our miss guided teaching through the centuries and not our choice apathy. Yes, this is hard language, but after near 40 years of ministry worldwide, my words are mild to what I’m sure heaven is saying about the church’s lack of ministerial fulfillment. Let us all rise up from our couch of comfort and get to work for the Gospel of the Kingdom. “Jesus said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

IN THE MARKETPLACE
It is quite clear that Jesus was in the temple every week on the Sabbath day (Luke 2:27). In fact, Jesus started His ministry in the synagogue (Luke 4:16). We find Jesus in the temple teaching the doctors at a very young age (Luke 2:46). The scriptures record very accurately that Jesus was faithful to the Temple of worship (John 18:20). However, when it came to Jesus seeking and saving the lost, He took his mission to the Marketplace. Jesus taught a parable about the Lord sending His servants out into the highways and hedges compelling anyone to come that His house might be filled (Luke 14:26).
The market place was where the people were. It was like our shopping centers and malls today. The marketplace was the place where people did business. The highways were where the commerce and trade took place. Jesus was teaching His disciples to get out from behind Church walls and to where the people lived on a daily bases. Where the people worked and did business was where Jesus had in mind for His disciples to reach the unsaved.
If any serious businessman today starting up a small business wishes to succeed, he knows he must go out to where the people are. Sad, but more than 80% of all small businesses that start up close down within 3-5 years. Why? They commit the ultimate sin: thinking that all one needs is get a shop, put a sign up and wait till customers come. Wrong! The same sin is for any church to believe that all is needed is to get a building, put a sign out and wait till people come. Worse, we Christians get a building, put up a sign and the tell God to go get the sinners and bring them to church. We religiously call this praying for a revival.
Marketplace evangelism was what Jesus originally used and is the only guaranteed method of the Bible. The perfect business success model is to find a need and meet it. The same is for the church. If we are going to succeed in growing the church (salvations) we must discover the needs, hurts, and desires of our local community and create a way to meet that need.
How is it that the early Church did their ministry of saving souls, healing hurts and meeting needs in the “streets” and we twenty first century Christians don’t? True, our culture provides great opportunities via civic buildings, such as performing arts, parks, theatres, malls, convention centers, etc. However, about 95% of all “Marketing” is done OUT WHERE PEOPLE ARE. We must get church out of church if we are going to make a dent in our mission.
Join me this year in becoming “Engaged” in Marketplace evangelism. Come go with me out into the streets where people are. Take a good hard look into the mirror of your soul and find the gifts and compassion to help others. I know inside everyone of you reading, there is a longing to reach out and offer to others what you wished someone had done for you. Some of us are where we are because there was someone who loved us to Christ and now we want to do the same for others.
2010 is the year of Opportunity. It is the year of multiplication. This is our year to do and become what our soul is crying to do. This is our year to leap from our coach and step out into the Marketplace and make our life count. Listen, do you hear that? It’s the hustle and bustle of hundreds and thousands of people reaching, looking and asking for someone to show them the way, answer their questions and offer them a way out from where they are to where they want to go. And you, yes I do mean you have exactly what they need. Come on, let’s go.

Ya Wanna Find Jesus?
A country drunk man stumbled into a church where there were baptisms being performed. The preacher noticed him and asked him if he wanted to find Jesus. "Sure," said the drunk man. "I'll find Jesus." So the preacher took the drunk man and dunked it into the baptismal waters. The drunk man jerk and swiveled and waved around till the preacher almost lost him. Have you ever found yourself sitting around remembering days gone by from when you were a child? Ever remember particular fond memories of playing, riding a bike or experiencing something fascinating? And the very moment now that you remember those times, your heart races, face smiles and your soul is lifted. I have found myself many times in moments of deep thought with issues I need to contemplate to fix, deal with or overcome some somewhere my mind walks down a hallway without purpose. Then all of a sudden, I look around in my mind and see myself playing with army men under the house, or in the back yard playing ball. In those moments I remember a “Highlight” of history that causes me to take a glimpse of yesterday when life was good. And then at that time, my heart sighs a “Hallelujah,” better days are real. Don’t allow your present moments to become so toxic that you can’t stroll down memory lane and find something to thank God about. My struggles yesterday didn’t drown me, so “Hallelujah” they won’t drown me today: HALLALUJAH.

AT THE RIVER’S EDGE
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of unbelief, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us.” C Dickens
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have lived and are living inside a vortex. We are living in the "Pendulum Paralysis:" I hear the Lord speaking, “I have set before you this day, Life and death, chose life. I have set before you this day, blessing & cursing, chose blessing.” We are stepping outside of Decade of Difficulty and into a Decade of Destiny. Not just a new year but a new dimension. We are living in the chasm of the Wilderness – we’re not in Egypt, but we’re not in the Promiseland. The Paralysis of the Predictable has incarcerated some into their Couch of Conformity. I see it as we’re are standing at the River Jordon’s Edge, poised to step away from a Decade of Wilderness and into a Land of Promise. We must make our move.
The years 2000 - 2009 made the first decade of the new millennium. I called it the “Decade of Difficulty.” We had natural disasters of our lifetime with the 2004 Asian tsunami and Hurricane Katrina in 2005; The meltdowns of our Central Banking institution and gross government and corporate failures; Still suffering from the largest unemployment in 40 years; and radical Islamic terrorism that brought us “9-11.” It brought doom and gloom on one hand and technological breakthroughs on the other. No matter who you are or where you lived, the Decade of the 00’s was a Decade of Difficulty.
I heard the Lord tell me a few months ago that we are living through the Book of Judges. Israel went from on top of the world to the bottom. They would live blessed and become sloppy then backslide. After an enemy would overtake them, Israel would cry out to God in repentance. God would send them a Judge who would bring them out. This would happen almost every 40 years. I say we as a nation are living on the bottom of such a cycle, moving upwards this roller coaster ride of dysfunction. We are suffering from a “Pendulum Paralysis:” People living from one extreme to the other.
Like Israel during the 40 years away from Egypt became a life in the wilderness, I have seen many these past few decades go through some of the hardest difficulty while on the other had experience some of the most profound miracles. I watch some men of God come onto the scene from nowhere to center stage of ecclesiastical success, while others stepped off the platform into spiritual corruption and deception. From one extreme to the other seemed to parade across the spiritual stage. You and I, if honest can share similar straddling difficulties.
I say we are standing on the River’s Edge with a resounding call to “go across this Jordon.” True, this river is not a “creek,” but a “Flood” (Josh 3:15). Yes, it may seem like the prophetic voice is demanding us to put our feet into a rushing torrent, but faith is wishing to secure us that the waters will roll back for us. I agree it doesn’t look simple. It will take crazy faith, divine unction, and (pardon me) but a lot of “guts” to step away from the comfort zone and into what looks like sure destruction. “But if we sit here, we die” (2 Kings 7:3).
I’m calling the church on a 31 day consecration. Consecration means to commit to a purpose, or commitment with a purpose. I am calling everyone to Matt 6:33 with their life, time, money & talents. "Sow a life, reap an eternity." Sow a seed, reap a harvest. Sow a thought, reap an invention. Sow a day, reap a lifetime of fulfillment. Let’s take the first 31 days of this new year, new decade and Commit to a Purpose – on Purpose. Jesus said, “To this end came I into the world and for this purpose was I born” (John 18:37). He never wavered, but stayed at it until he accomplished his calling. I say let us step into the River’s Edge and walk across into our Promiseland. Don’t look back, stay focused and let’s go, we’re well able to take this land.

One faithful day in the summer of 1980, three buttoned down IBM’ers called on a band of hippie programmers at Digital Research, Inc. (DRI) located in the Pacific Grove, CA. They hoped to discuss licensing DRI’s industry leading operating system; CP/M. Instead, DRI founder Gary Kildall blew off IBM to gallivant around with his wife in his jet. Frustrated with Kildall’s failure to secure a deal, IBM turned back to Bill Gates for their operating system and Gates signed the contract. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

There is no other time of the year that spark such a mired of emotions like the short few weeks from Thanksgiving through New Years day. I whole heartedly agree that these days are “the most wonderful time of the year.” I was sitting out on the beach boardwalk the other day just to breath in the beautiful blessings of the moment. The white sands and white caps of the rolling ocean waves painted a picturesque canvas of Florida’s “White Christmas.” Yeah, I know it’s not snow in the “Winter Wonderland,” but you have to admit, it’s beautiful.
I sat there reminiscing over the past 54 years of my life and all that God has given me. I thought of my childhood days in West Virginia, sitting in front of the Christmas tree my dad cut down from the woods and mom decorated. Under it was a few gifts, but to me the framed setting said it all. I can’t recall how or why my minded captured such emotion that I still can remember, but I sensed then and still envision the very nature of God in the whole spirit of “Giving.”
Christmas represents the very core of Christianity because Christmas is about giving, “for God so loved the world he gave” (John 3:16). Study the dancing eyes of a child as he or she tears the wrapping paper away to expose the requested toy. Gaze across the table of family members laughing while they share their life stories over dinner. Watch your own face light up when your spouse, son or daughter or grandchild looks over at you and says, “Thank you – I sure do love you.” There’s nothing like that in the whole world.
I know this maybe another Christmas letter of the many you might receive, but please accept my words that is coming from my heart to you personally. As I sit here and write, my mind is racing over the dozens of family members, hundreds of friends and church family. Imagine with me that I am sitting with you over lunch sharing these words with you. Since you are in our personal rolodex, allow us the opportunity to tell you personally that you matter to us. We’re praying for you and wanted to tell you that we love you and yours.
Please let Jenny and I to wish you a Christmas filled with the precious gifts that only God can give… the joy of close friends… the love of family times… and blessing of glorious memories. May your year end with the gratefulness of God’s goodness and your new year spawn the kind of faith that offers a miraculous flow of opportunities. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

WE NEED ANOTHER HOLY VISITATION

A few weeks ago while I was in our prayer room in our house, the Lord caught me up in a Holy Ghost glory. While there, tears in my eyes, my soul full, He spoke to me; “What church needs is a Holy Visitation.” The time when this happened was when the world had become the most corrupt, perverted and anti-God. God’s people were slaves to an agnostic society. The Pharisees were the scourge of religion with blatant hypocrisy, corruption and living in total denial to where and how they were forced to live. Israel was spiritually dead. The darkness was so great, the only thing that could have ever saved them would be a Holy Visitation.
Since 1975, drug abuse has risen over 20%, crime 18% and aggravated battery 21%. Murder, terrorism and government and corporate corruption has gone through the roof. All of this has happened with more Christian Television, Music, Movies and the explosion of the “Mega-Churches.” Allow me to share my heart’s burden of what America needs today if we’re going to save our nation, families and future. Just like Mary, the mother of Jesus had a Holy Visitation from an Angel and the Holy Spirit overshadowed her till she became pregnant with a Savior of the World; today we need a Holy Visitation to impart in us a major shaking that is the ONLY thing that will save our nation, families and our future.
While walking in my neighborhood, praying one night with all this on my mind, the Lord spoke to me, “Welcome to Laodicea.” We’re living in a time when the church has traditionalized Laodicean as normal. We have created a new breed of “spiritual motivation” that we patronize weaknesses, failures and sins to the point that it’s a “reverse motivation.” “He’s worse than I am makes me feel good.” We used to be motivated by those greater than we are. Now we seem to glamorize dysfunction, failures and perversion.
“Woe unto those who call evil good and good evil” (Is 5:20). “God is weary with your words that you say everyone who does evil is accepted in God’s sight. Why doesn’t your religion hold you accountable? (Mal 2:17). Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for boasting that their “outside the cup” was clean. “Fools, you drink from the inside the cup.”
You say, Pastor it sounds too gloomy. What then must we do? “If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and PRAY and seek my face, turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14). The answer to your broken marriage is Get a hold of God and don’t let go until he bless you (Jacob). Pray, pray, and pray again until the rain falls (Elijah). Repent, fast a day, 5, 12, 21 until you hear from God (Daniel). Go back into the house of God, fall on the altar and cry out to God till he save you from your doom (Jehoshaphat). Your answer is not at the end of a beer bottle, new wife or new boyfriend but it is waiting at the end of your faith – knees.
What we all need is a new “Holy Visitation” like Mary had that literally turned her then world “upside down.” No, we will never see the salvation of our USA from legislation. Government is not going to save our country, only salvation can save our government. With nearly 1/4th of our nation’s work force out of work, worse economy since Jimmy Carter days, we desperately need to get on our face and plead for a divine interruption of our corruption till we birth a salvation.

Died on Christmas
Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates. "In honor of this holy season" Saint Peter said, "You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven." The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. "It represents a candle", he said. "You may pass through the pearly gates" Saint Peter said. The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said, "They're bells." Saint Peter said "You may pass through the pearly gates".
The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a couple girlfriend pictures. St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked," And just what do those symbolize? The man replied," "These are Carols."

Are you coming or Going?

As a child, I grew up in the country. We kids would come in the house, then outside to play. My momma used to say, “Are you coming or going?” Today, I have watched hundreds, and thousands of young and old alike come in and out of church. Come in and out of relationships. Come in and out of business, passion, entrepreneurship and just about everything. Today so many are fickled and really don't know where they truly are or where they are actually going.
Many of you are Desiring / Dreaming one thing, but Listening & Watching another. When your brain things one thing but you hear the opposite = Puts you in a Hypnotic Trance. Hypnotism is a neurological fact. Not the Hollywood Boris Karloff. The way your brain works= when you hear / ask question, your brain automatically goes to work to find the answer. WHY can’t I do this? = brain finds an answer why you can’t. Why don’t I get the break? = brain gives you a reason.
This is why Jesus said, “Say not, 4 months then comes harvest but if you will say with your mouth and believe in your heart (mind) = you shall have what you say.” “We have the same spirit of faith, if we believe with the heart and confess with the mouth.”
PARADOX – this is why most never get healed, never stay saved, never live happy or stay in a relationship. They hope one thing while they invest in the opposite. Why do you think the Movie Industry puts Music in the background of their movies? Because it creates hypnotic processes. Why do you think the music playing in the Mall or stores is soothing and not swing band? It’s called Suggestive Psychology. MTV does this with the Music words saying one thing, while pictures say the opposite. It creates a hypnotic trance.
Listen, you can't desire one thing while all along stay at a stagnant place. You can't look in one direction but move in another. You can't confess one thing and behave the opposite. You can't "wish" one thing but actually do something totally different. Make up your mind of what you want and RIGHT now make the commitment to DO whatever it takes to accomplish it. Stop the in and out, up and down mamsy pamsy wishy washy and Just Do It.

Whatever happened to Commitment?
She was distraught and voice was broken and elevated with anger as she frantically asked me, “Whatever happened to commitment?” Her fiancé of twelve months broke up without even a reason. “I can’t believe it, after twenty years, the Smith family just up and quit our church and went across town to a church that holds a totally different doctrine than we do” my pastor friend said to me in despair. “After I paid his bail, got him off drugs, put his marriage back together and got him a job with a friend of mine, he came in my office and told me that God had told him to go to another church” another pastor told me with a broken voice and confused.
No matter where you look, the commitment level of our world is in peril. Look around you, many of the large major banks have failed, the largest insurance companies have folded. General Motors and Chrysler went bankrupt and millions of American workers have their 401 K to tank and left their retirement in doubt. Politician's promises have faded before the ink has dried on their campaign flyers.
Marriage vows are threatened with the perplexity of emotional insecurity and parental commitment will only last as long as sensual fulfillment is given by the other spouse. Domestic abandonment is the norm instead of the impugned rarity. “My word is my bond” mantra is now an ancient relic on display in ecclesiastical museums. “Trust me” has become a warning phrase in a sentence that means, “I’m lying .” Let me ask, whatever happen to commitment?
Dr. Martin Luther King said it well, “If a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live.” The Bible reads, If you will make a commitment to God he will help you in all you do (Ps 37:5). If you will make a commitment to God in your work, then it will succeed (Prov 16:3). Commitment is an act of committing to a charge or trust. Commitment is a pledge that means an unbroken agreement.
I understand that our 21st Century culture has corrupted almost every aspect of American life. I agree with you that our government, social and civic institutions have sold us out for a dollar. I have also been victimized by our gigantic corporate system who will replace you to save fifty cents. I know there is no more security in our social, domestic, scholastic or corporate world. I can appreciate that it feels like everywhere you turn someone is trying to rape you, sell you out or cheat on you.
However, no matter how evil the world becomes; no matter how corrupt society functions, we cannot submit to join their sinful virus. The church cannot concede to such a sinful nature and prostitute our spiritual life all in the name of “looking out for #1.” I rebuke the spirit, the notion, the apathy that shouts in my face, “Whatever.” I curse the remote holding, couch sitting selfishness that cares for nothing except their own driveway.
I am one who after 37 years of marriage still says “till death do we part.” I am still committed to the church I founded and pastor over 29 years ago. After 38 years of being a member of a church, I still do not miss a single service – Sunday & Wednesday (unless I am out of town preaching or vacationing). Call me “Old Fashion” but I don’t believe Jesus will lie to anyone if he says, “Well done thou good and FAITHFUL servant.” I believe in eternity. I believe in a judgment day. I believe in heaven or hell. I believe that my life, my action, my commitment does matter. Whatever happened to commitment? In Christ Jesus, nothing; how about in you?

HOW TO STAY SAFE IN THIS WORLD TODAY!
1. Avoid riding in automobiles because they are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents. 2. Do not stay home because 17% of all accidents occur in the home. 3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks because 14% of all accidents occur to pedestrians. 4. Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water because 16% of all accidents involve these forms. 5. Of the remaining 33% of all deaths occur in Hospitals. Above all else, avoid hospitals. You will be pleased to learn that only .001% of all deaths occur in worship services in church, and these are usually related to previous physical disorders. Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is at church! FOR SAFETY'S SAKE - Attend church... IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!

LOTTERY WINNER REVEALS A LOSER

For all his multimillion-dollar lottery winnings, Jack Whittaker can't seem to do anything but lose. The man who landed a $315 million jackpot on Christmas Day seven years ago has since lost his wife to divorce, his granddaughter to drugs and now his daughter, found dead in her West Virginia home on July 5, 2009. Whittaker has also been arrested on charges of driving drunk, lost more than $500,000 in cash to thieves and settled with the parents of a teenage friend of his granddaughter's who died at his house from a drug overdose.
Back when Jack Whittaker won his jackpot $315 million, he said “the first thing I’m going to do is pay my tithe to my church.” Sad to say, Whittaker never paid the church tithes, offering or a donation. Amazing how many people often say that when they get a lot of money, they are going to give to the church, but they never seem to give the tithe of their $150 a week, let alone will give the tithe of their $150 million if they ever get that.
No, the truth is, “Money is a Multiplier.” Whatever or whoever a person is, money will only amplify what he or she really is. We never really know who or what most people are at the core of their soul because they never seem to have any means or ways to manifest who or what their core nature really is. Money never really “changes a person,” it merely amplifies their true self.
A surprising number of other lottery winners share Whittaker’s pain. According to a health study reported this week in London's Daily Mail, winners smoked and drank far more two years after winning then they did before, countering the notion that more money means better health. The paper cites the tragedy of Phil Kitchen, a jobless carpenter who won big in 1999, turned to binge drinking and died three years later, at age 58, of self-neglect.
Less than six months after Brandi Whittaker’s death, Jack’s wife, Jewell, started divorce proceedings. Even before the recent blow of his daughter's death, Whittaker told ABC News in 2007, "Since I won the lottery, I think there is no control for greed. "I think if you have something, there's always someone else that wants it," he said. "I wish I'd torn that ticket up."
Winning what was then the nation's largest lottery payout in 2002 proved to be the manifestation of Jack Whittaker's true self. Whittaker, lost his granddaughter Brandi Bragg to a drug overdose in 2004. She was 17. His wife filed for divorce. And on July 5, his daughter, Brandi's mother, Ginger Whittaker Bragg, was found dead in her home.
The fact is, when a person “wins big” in way of means or money without true character, the person will suffer at the hands of such a false magnification. Always remember, winning big when one is a loser will only magnify the low loser in a big way. The key to this story is, work on your character first before you work on amplifying yourself.

FREE FROM ME

My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away and be at rest. Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah. I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest” (Ps. 55:4-8).

Have you ever felt like David? We’ve all felt like that and thought about quitting. However, there is a problem with the “free from me” syndrome as I call it. We could spend ample time discussing all of the details of “justification” for wanting to quit work, quit school, quit trying, quit caring, quit marriage, quit loving, quit church, and even quit God. However, reasons or excuses are always a “blue light special,” whole sale, and are very, very, cheap--if you know what I mean. I don’t wish to waste my time dealing with “justified” reasons or excuses of the why of wishing to escape from it all, but would rather like to discuss where it comes from.
The “free from me” syndrome can be seen in every corner of life styles and from every civilization. Take TV for example; What is it really, but a tool of “escape.” Most people watch approximately seven hours of TV per day. Why? All to escape from the real world. Take a novel, fiction of course--and you will find another fantasy high. The list is endless if you start thinking about it: Drugs, alcohol, parties, babes, dudes, concerts, music, etc. Again, I don’t wish to look at “why”, nor the “reasons” but “where” does it come from.
The “free from me” attitude comes from an attitude of rejection of self. That’s right! The majority of people do not like themselves. They would rather do what David was thinking, and fly away from it all. The major problem with the “free from me” spirit is, that when you “quit” or fly away, where ever you go, YOU will still be there. The answer is not to quit, or escape from circumstances, problems, temptations, etc., but rather to find the miracle in you, the change that Jesus made in you and like it.
Most singles want to get married because they don’t like being ALONE--you know, alone with THEMSELVES. One out of two marriages end up in a divorce. Why? They found out that they were still alone, even though they were married. Guess what? They found themselves alone again. Yes, TV, parties, drugs and wanting marriage again. Why do people get on this merry-go-round anyway? Because, they ignore the place where it all comes from which is in themselves. Your answer, and the world’s answer is in letting God do a divine work in your life until you can be happy about yourself.
Your answer is not in a new marriage, new home, new car, new job, or a new relationship, but in a new YOU. There is only one place you can get a new you, and that is with Jesus. Your answer is where David found his answer, which is in CHANGE (Ps. 55:19). In the same chapter he thought of flying away, he found out that if he would let God change him, the afflictions would go. Yes it is possible for you to learn to like yourself by liking the change God has made in you. I invite you into this wonderful world of change

WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

Have you ever asked the question or have someone ask you the question, “Why do BAD things happen to GOOD people?” How many times have we heard someone say, “If God is a loving God, why did God let this bad thing happen?” I’m sure that if you’ve been a Christian for any length of time, you have been through some very troubling heart aches that have set you back. Most of us were raised in a culture that has suggested that if one becomes a Christian, then God will save us from trouble, trials and struggles. Allow me to be honest for a few minutes. I grew up in the church world where one of the evangelism’s approach was to present the gospel with the assumed notion that if we got saved, we would be saved from bad things happening to us. And of course, that is just not true. I don’t need to belabor the reality that Bad things do happen to Good people – namely Christians. Let’s address the “why” this happens.
First, “God makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matt 5:45). In other words, Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Jesus was using Sunshine and Rain (weather) as a metaphor of life. Everyone in the world, whether good or evil live under the same weather at the same time. Weather doesn’t take place daily based on a decision that God makes. Sunshine or stormy weather is not based on some emotional reaction from God. Get it out of your mind that God decides for you to have a bad thing happen to you today or a good thing. Jesus was explaining that (like weather) circumstances happen from a set of “systematic cycles” of life. Each of us will have good days and bad days, regardless of what we do or not do. Predestination is not a decision of God, but the intention of God. God planned your life for good. “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jer 29:11-12). Every good gift comes from God (James 1:17). So, everyone regardless of how they live will face good and bad days. This is a part of nature – period.
Second, bad things happen to good people because of attacks of the enemy. Sometimes we (good people) sow the right seeds, do the right things, live a good life and still things go wrong and we’re forced to live through afflictions. David records, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them OUT of them all” (Ps 34:19). However, even when we do good, sow the right seed, and do nothing to give reason for a bad thing to come to our lives, the devil comes in and sows bad tears in our fields of life. Jesus reveals, “An enemy has done this” (Matt 13:28). Jesus told Peter that the devil was trying to “sift him as wheat” (Luke 22:31). Satan is before God accusing the righteous daily (Rev 12:10). Satan’s motive is to use trials, tests, troubles, loss, pain and suffering to get the righteous to “curse God and die” (Job 1:11). Therefore, bad things happen to good people also to cause us to deny our faith and leave God.
Third, bad things happen to good people because of the seeds we’ve sown. None of us would dare deny that much of the bad things have come our way because of dumb stuff we have done. If we could go back and undo things we’ve done over the past 10 years, I imagine that we could write a book of stuff we wish we could undo. Bad things happen to good people from the very seeds we’ve sown causing us to reap “bad things.” Sometimes these “bad seeds” are behavior we know of and sometimes from actions we do not know. We’ve all heard the term, “Ignorance of the law is no excuse.” The greater truth of this statement is true in Scripture (Rom 2:1). We will reap what we have sown (Gal 6:7). These are the three reasons Why bad things happen to Good people.

An 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting. When she went before the judge he asked her, "What did you steal?" She replied, "A can of peaches.” The judge then asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches and she replied that she was hungry. The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can. She replied "6". The judge then said, "I will then give you 6 days in jail." Before the judge could actually pronounce the punishment, the woman's husband spoke up and asked the judge if he could say something. The judge said, "What is it?" The husband said, "She also stole a can of peas."

* It’s not until mothers have teenagers that they can understand why animals can eat their young.

My wife, Jenny gave me a new VISA card that was sent to us. I took it and proceeded to cut it up. Aleena (six years old at the time) was shocked and wanted me to stop. I told her, “Learn this well while you’re young.” I said, “If a man made only $300.00 a week, but spent $500.00 that week, what happens?” Aleena thought and said, “He had to steal.” I thought it was a good answer, but I explained how we couldn’t live beyond our means. We must spend only within what we make, not on what we borrow. Our society has allowed itself to fall into a trap. The trap is the debt system of purchasing our wants. I am sorry to say that Christians have not avoided this trap either.
We are constantly being tempted by advertisements showing us large selections of very appealing cars, home furnishings, vacations, and almost everything else we might want. We can have it with "easy payments" they advertise. We can see the world on a "buy now, pay later" plan. Our Lord was certainly aware of the problems of borrowing. So aware, in fact, in His charge to His people, God pleads with us to "listen obediently to the voice of the Lord your God" (Deut. 15:5-6). What does He want us to hear? He is commanding us not to spend beyond our means. Why is it so important that God Himself commands His people to live within their means? He tells us in verse 6: so that (the lenders) "will not rule over you." It is not God's plan that we should become a slave to our debtors (Prov. 22:7).
A man is charged to love the Lord, his wife, and his family, then his neighbor as he loves himself. The love of money is the root of all evil. However, when a man is in debt he finds himself thinking too often of his money problems. I have been told that, for most of us, money occupies approximately 50 percent of our thoughts (Matt. 6:24). As our debt grows, our allegiance to debt increases, and our thought time for the Lord and family decreases. Our problems begin to compound and we wonder what has happened to the blessing of the Lord regarding our marriage and walk with God.
If one makes only $300.00 a week (net), he must plan a budget that spends only $280.00 a week, (less than what he makes). The greatest problem with far too many Christians who say they cannot afford to pay tithes is that they are living beyond their means. They invest in a debt more than they have the income to pay for it. If you only make $300.00 a week, you cannot pay tithes, offerings, rent, food, car, gas, utilities, phone, clothes, and then go out and buy on credit a new stereo, weight machine, vacation, and make application for a Master Card and VISA. If you borrow and live on $425.00 a week, while you’re only making $300.00, somewhere out there you’re going to have more bills than you can pay.
Our budget we make of spending must be below what we make if we are to ever stay above our debt. One of the greatest sins men and women make today is when they get a raise they instantly raise their cost of living higher. We cannot spend more than we make. And if we get a raise, we should never go out and plan to buy more and live higher. This “spend - get” craze has destroyed more marriages, homes and Christians than any other demon. Just because they quit, gave up and believed the lies, NEVER allow you to hear it let alone believe it. "Nothing can stop what they imagined to do" (Gen 11:6). Dream baby, dream. Never allow anyone or anything deter you from dreaming your dreams. All of Joseph’s family, even his father rejected his dreams as legitimate. Literally every move Joseph made and every day he lived he faced excessive opposition to his dreams. Why, we ask? Simple, your dreams are about your future, not your past. If you ever get God to speak to you, it will ONLY and always be about your future, never about your past. If you ever hear the devil talk to you, he will always talk to you about your past and never about your future. Why? Satan is scared of your future, but loves to harass you about your past. Listen, get up and step into that ring and Dream baby dream.

Twenty nine years ago, my family and I moved to Melbourne and founded Bible Truth Church. I moved here without the assistance, help or support of any denomination, ministry or organization. I rented a house, 1057 Byrd St, turned on the utilities and had only $500 left in the bank. I put an ad in the paper for my business; “Truth painting, for the job you can trust” and in 2 weeks I was working. I then put an ad in the paper for evangelism, “FREE HBS in the convenience of your own home 254-5777.” And Johnny Flores called that week where we landed our first Bible study who became our first two converts.
I joined the Chamber of Commerce, introduced myself to every civic leader, business & Christian radio. I contracted to paint the WWBC – NCN complex in Cocoa for exchange of radio time daily, Monday through Friday. We became known throughout the county. I rented the Eau Gallie Women’s Club (only Sunday AM & PM) for $200 a month. Small store fronts went for $1200 a month. One year later I added Tuesday nights for an additional $200 a month. We had to set up and tear down for every service for four years. In our second year I put $5000 down on 1.7 acres at Lansing St. One year later Norman took a loan for $5000, and the rest came up with $5000. I applied and maxed out 5 credit cards for $35,000 and I paid them off and an additional $15,000 in cash to build our first building. For the first five years, my company paid my salary, mission trips and building of the church building. The 20 - 25 tithe paying members paid the utilities, rent, outreach and some expense.
We moved into our new church building in July 1984. The next year I had signs all over the church; 100 for our goal in attendance. On our big Sunday we had 99 people. I wanted to go out and get a dog so I could say we had a 100. I then went full time for the church and worked my painting business on the side. In 1986 we experienced great growth. January 1986 we had 27 to receive the Holy Spirit & join baptized. In July 1986 we had 120 to receive the Holy Spirit & 50 join the church. By the end of 1986, our record attendance was 180. 10 years later, we had 4 bus routes, baptizing many every week and over 600 one Easter. Since then, we have records of over 3800 baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.
From 1984 through 1994 we started Bible Truth Academy, Class of Ministries discipleship class every Tuesday, Outreach almost every Saturday, Bible Truth Institute once a week, two Sunday services, Thursday midweek service, and Saturday night prayer. We bought the adjoining 4 acres and years later started plans for building our existing church. Through years of corruption from local governments, three times the banks we were using went bankrupt, two of our General contractors failed, 12 subcontractors failed and $1.2 million later, we moved in to our new auditorium in January 2003 as Promiseland Church. The devil did not want the Vision of a Promiseland to come to past. But persistence, faithfulness and undying commitment of a few with their relentless faith, we did it and we’re still here.
“Through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God. Through it all I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.” I have found that it cost to be a savior. Jesus faced the worse kind of trials, tests and even death. Yes, it seems lies come cheap, sin is easy, apathy is a piece of cake, but building a real church will cost everything you are and have.
This brings me to the call and reason of this letter. This coming weekend, we’re celebrating 29 years of pastoring, Promiseland’s existence and a dynamic spiritual journey. We are having Pastor Steven Sledge from the Potter’s House Church of Bishop TD Jakes to come preach this year’s Anniversary Conference. I’m asking everyone to make sure your whole family, friends and as many as you can get to be in service this Saturday night 6 PM and Sunday morning 10:30 AM for a “Stand on your feet shouting” celebration. We only do this once a year and this is your time to say with your presence that you belong to Promiseland and you support the Vision of this ministry.
Some may say that economic times are tough, but I say without God, church or a covering, you don’t know what tough would look like. I will be the first to say that if it were not for Jesus, salvation, the Holy Spirit baptism, Promiseland and a spiritual covering, I would not have a life.

As I sit here now reminiscing our first experience twenty nine years ago in coming to Melbourne, Florida it causes my soul to recapitulate my nights of prayer that lead me to this city to start a church in the first place. The very short of a fabulous (longer) story began in a daily prayer in my bedroom each night. At the end of my Pastoral studies in Jacksonville, Florida. One night the Lord spoke the name “Melbourne” to my spirit. And yes, my first reaction was, “No Lord, I am not a missionary and though Australia would be an exciting adventure, missionary work is not me. Nights later I spent hours looking through the east coast of USA for a city named Melbourne. I must confess, I had a burning passion to go back up to the North East to start a church, not Florida. Weeks later, my family and I spent a weekend in Melbourne to “feel out the city.” Obviously, we fell in love with the beautiful tropical landscape.
Our second visit months later was the sure win. Sunday early evening as we drove away from Melbourne on I-95, I had to pull the car over for the tears were so full in my eyes, I could not see to drive. Jenny and I sat there in the car and held each other and weep before the Lord knowing Melbourne was the city and this was the time. In the summer of 1980, I moved my family to Melbourne. I had to stay in Jacksonville a few weeks to finish up contracting jobs I had.
In the first year I gave every Friday night to God in prayer till the sun came up for souls. I told God I was not here for me but for the Kingdom of God. Only a few months passed till I had a radio broadcast – FREE, taught Home Bible Studies, baptized a few families, secured a building and birthed a church. Our first Sunday morning we had 13 and that night we had 30. Just a year later we had already had baptized 30 people and filled with the Holy Spirit. Just this year I combed through the records and found the lists of baptisms and numbers of people who had been filled with the Holy Spirit. The numbers of people who had come to the altar to give their heart to Christ were too many to record from Sunday to Sunday. Twenty nine years later, we’ve had over 3800 to be baptized and over 4200 to receive the Holy Spirit let alone the near 8000 that gave their heart to Christ.
I have traveled to 48 of the 50 states and have documented hundreds of well known mega churches that had not in the entire history of their church baptized more than a few hundred, though they boasted of 1000’s in service each week. I have interviewed more than a 100 church leaders, administrators, leadership staff of churches over 3000 in membership and many if not most could not verify that they had baptized 5% of their congregation. It’s one thing to build a growing church (an admirable feat), but another thing all together to actually transform souls from the trenches of hell to the halls of heaven. Today, proven statistics reveal that all the mega churches combined do not secure more than 3% of the whole Christian church membership in America. Most pastors wish their church was a mega church if for nothing else than to afford them economic ability to fulfill their vision. However, 98% of mega churches became a mega enterprise at the depletion of surrounding churches. Membership exchange is not growth, revival nor evidence of God’s anointing.
These past 29 years have written a many of epic novels on the hearts and souls of tens of thousands with regard to the simple ministry of a poor country boy and his lovely wife. I’ve traveled to over 32 countries preaching the gospel. I’ve spoken in 42 of the 50 states. I have seen thousands of thousands of people come to the altar and pray. Miracles after miracles and revivals after revivals have shocked my humble life. The hundreds of men, women and young people who have given their life, blood, sweat and tears through these past 29 years can only give witness to the absolute dynamics of the Word of God. Nothing or no one can garner such a follow-ship for near three decades. We’ve had five times as many to quit, leave and move away as we have saved. But as the gospel song writer sings it, “Through it all, through it all I’ve learned to depend upon his word.”

What a difference 100 Years makes!

The year is 1909, One hundred years ago: What a difference a century makes! Here are some statistics for the Year 1909:
The average life expectancy was 47 years. Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub. Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone. There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles of paved roads. The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph. The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower! The average wage in 1909 was 22 cents per hour. The average worker made between $200 and $400 per year. A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year, a dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year. More than 95 percent of all births took place at HOME. Ninety percent of all doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION! Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press AND the government as 'substandard. Sugar cost four cents a pound. Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen. Coffee was fifteen cents a pound. Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo. Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason. Five leading causes of death were:
1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke
The American flag had 45 stars. The population of Las Vegas, Nevada, was only 30!!!! Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and ice tea hadn't been invented yet. There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day. Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write. Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school. Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores. Back then pharmacists said, 'Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health' Eighteen percent of households had at least one full-time servant or domestic help. There were about 230 reported murders in the entire U.S.A!

MAKE YOUR LIFE COUNT

Matt 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
Every Christian in every generation only had about 70 years to complete their work. We are living in the eleventh hour of our lives if not the eleventh hour of the world. We are running out of tomorrows. None of us are getting any younger. What we do, we must do quickly. “Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city” (Luke 14:) Make your Life Count.
What was the ultimate goal of Jesus in sending out the 12? Jesus said that he sent them out so that his house might be full. The end result of every church must be to fill the house with souls serving Jesus Christ. “Go out quickly.” The “Principle” of saving souls, or filling His house was to go out “Quickly.” The TIME factor is important. Jesus said; I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4 ). The truth is we don’t have a long time! All we have is today. The analogy Jesus is making is dealing with the end of his dispensation. However, there was a “Time” factor even Jesus was limited to. Make your Life Count.
The urgency in this time is that we are the only ones who can reach this generation. Once it’s gone, no one can or will reach it. Since Jesus, there has been over 35 “Worlds” that have been born and die. Meaning, the whole world has been born, lived their lives and have died. Think of it. 35 worlds have come and gone of which the overwhelming majority have not heard the gospel. Make your Life Count.
Longfellow said it, “What is time? The shadow on the dial. The striking of the clock. The running of the sand. Day night Winter Summer Months years Centuries.” The youthful boy or girl here tonight can tell us what time it is, but the greatest scholar here could not define what is time. God operates within a time framework.
What are you doing with your life? Where are you going? Who are you becoming? None of us are getting younger. We’re racing the clock. “One life to live will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.” What are you doing for Eternity’s sake?

D.H. Lawrence presents one of the most profound ironies of life man can ever experience in his “The Rocking-Horse Winner.” I like to think of it as the growing up irony. Lawrence presents the seemingly backwards scenario’s of life in that the child was the mature entrepreneur and the parents were the naïve life wasters. In life, we expect the child to be the naïve passive person who accepts with whatever is handed to him while the parent is expected to take control of life and make things happen.
One would expect the parents of a child who is a minor with economic struggles to take control of their circumstances and make life better than it has become. One would expect that the parent should be the responsible one to speak faith and optimism that generates security for his or her child. One could easily accept a child to speak insecurities and question his or her future. However, in Lawrence’s “The Rocking-Horse Winner” we read the Irony of Life where the roles of responsibilities are reversed.
Paul’s mother is always speaking failure, fear and faithless words that generate fearful imaginations in Paul’s life. Such disparaging words from Paul’s mother caused Paul to hear voice from the house and their home life of never having enough. Such faithlessness normally causes children to become fearful neurotics wasting away in insecurities. However, with Paul, he took on the role of responsibility and overcame poverty while his parents passively surrendered to the failure of the whatever.
Paul, the seven to ten year old in Lawrence’s “The Rocking-Horse Winner” took upon him the role of making an income to pull the household from ruin while his parents only grew worse in economic failure. Paul appear to remain a child in insisting to ride his baby rocking horse while all along he developed a winning strategy to win the bets at the horse races from the childish saddle. Ironic, a child seated on the back of a toy takes life in his own hands and generates over a half of million dollars for his mother in a few short years, while his parents do little to nothing but complain about financial “bad luck” (Literature, DiYanni, McGraw Hill, 2002, pg. 97).
Edgar V. Roberts and Henry E. Jacobs explains that “Irony refers to language and situations that are inappropriate or opposite from normal expectations” (Literature, Roberts & Jacobs, Prentice Hall, Englewood, 1992, pg. 64). The irony of life seems to never hand us what we expect. If it did, I must say life would be too boring and predictable. Success and heroes would not be the aspired goal, but rather maintain the status quo. Extra ordinary people are those who define to us the true irony of life. They do the unexpected and accomplish the unbelievable. Ironic isn’t it that a child would be the responsible adult and the parent would become the whining child?

545 PEOPLE

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred Senators, 435 Congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices -- 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.
Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ. If they do not receive Social Security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees. We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

EVERY SOUL COUNTS

Since the beginning of the 90’s, the proportion of the adult population that is Non-churched has risen significantly to 32 %. That may not sound like much, but 32% of 300 million adults in America is over 95 million people. Add children of those adults in America and the total is more than 150 million human beings.
To put this statistic into perspective, the non-churched population of America would be equivalent to the 10th largest nation in the world!!!! Larger than every nation in Europe. Three times larger than the population of Canada. That would equate to over 40 states in the USA. Almost all of South America.
What is the center heartbeat of Jesus? He died on the cross for 150 million un-churched men, women, boys and girls. He died for 300 million Buddhists in the world. He died for half a billion Muslims. He died for the 6 billion men, women, boys and girls who are lost in this sin, evil, cursed, abomination filled world - who is, I might add, desperately wanting someone to love them like Jesus.
You can make a difference. You can allow Jesus to use your hands, your feet, your eyes, your arms to reach, touch and love others who have no one to love them.
Ps 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

Please hear me today: Your life will get no better than the people you hang out with. This past week, you could turn nowhere without seeing, hearing or reading about Michel Jackson. Sad,
Sad, after $100’s of Millions and this is who he is? And the corrupt media who damned him, attack him, scorn him a couple years ago, now they want to let us think they LOVE him. “O such an Icon.” They destroyed him and now they want to take credit for him. Filthy devils! Look around at what a twisted, perverted and corrupt life Hollywood, Washington DC, Paris and the rest have to offer. I would never want their $100’s Millions if I had to live that kind of life. None of them know what LOVE is. The bar songs, Rock, Country, Pop, etc. all offer so much depression. Is it any wonder “The wages of Sin is Death?” As I pondered these thoughts this past week, my personality wanted to rebuke, while my intellect wanted to teach and my passion wanted to encourage. After pondering this, my passion won out. Please, hear my heart:
Why do we blindly believe what the Masses do, say, think, act? The disciples came to Jesus and said, “The Pharisees were offended when you said that everyone is defiled by what he says & what he does. Jesus said; “Every plant that my heavenly Father doesn’t plant shall be plucked up. Let them alone, they are Blind leaders of the blind and both shall fall into the ditch” (Matt 15:12-14). Why is it cool just because everyone else is doing it? Hey, someone ask, why is getting drunk cool. Hey, someone needs to ask why pushing dope your only way out. Why can’t you push a business? Why do you believe what you see on TV? Why is it that we are told to follow the crowds only to find our lives STUCK in traffic? “Shut up and punch the clock, they say. Mary, you are not coloring in the lines. Charles, you didn’t write about the story I gave you.”
Isa 56:10-12 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, dumb dogs who cannot bark; sleeping, stuck, loving to slumber. 11 They’re selfish and teachers who don’t understand: they’re all about themselves. 12 Come they say, I’ll get wine, whiskey; we’ll get drunk and tomorrow we’ll do it all over again. STUCK
Many of us are Desiring & Dreaming one thing, but Listening & Watching another. We can’t pray for a happy marriage and hang out with people who destroyed every relationship they’ve been in. We can’t dream and hope for prosperity and listen to family bash the wealthy. We can’t wish for health while confessing your sicknesses and showing off our pill collection like it’s a badge of honor. Stop listening to the media’s mantra trying to program your mind to be against success, prosperity, health and purity. For example, they bemoan; “Is that one of those get rich schemes?” OK, let me ask, If you had a choice to work HARD for 50 years to accumulate $500,000 extra in investments, or you had a choice to work HARD for 5 years to accumulate $500,000 in investments, which would you choose? Of course we all would chose the five year choice. Isn’t it corrupt that the media and government will slam entrepreneurs who devise a plan, idea, system, or product that helps a person make money on their own, saying, “They are trying to scam the public.” At the same time the media and government set up a State Lottery and STILL $billions from the public. Hey, shake yourself, stop, get out of the line of the Pied Piper. He’s taking you down to the end of the road to dump you off in the river to drown.
Let me encourage you to turn off the News, become extremely selective to the shows you watch. Never watch a movie the media “Critics” praise (they’re usually perverted, twisted and evil). Yes, and turn off the stupid radio filled with some of the worse depressing, demoralizing songs any human could hear. Please hear me, make a commitment to be very selective to watch, listen to and read only the kinds of stuff that will grow you, succeed you, bless you, encourage you, make you healthier, happier and wiser. Find the people that ARE where you want to go and make friends with them. Back away from the “so called” friends who’s lives are messed up. Step back long enough and see what the parties, drugs (streets or prescription), alcohol, and promiscuity leads you too. On the other hand, take a good look at the passionate business minded, entrepreneurs, philanthropist, missions minded people are doing and see how their lives have turned out and go there. Stop, look around at the traffic jam you maybe in and make a choice today to GET OUT OF THE TRAFFIC JAM.

Have you ever heard or have said, "Oh, is that one of those Get Rich Quick Schemes?" Of course you have. Let me ask you, did you make that quote up? No? Where did you get that? You heard someone else use it? Let me ask you, if you had a choice to work HARD for 50 years and accumulated a sum total after all your bills $750,000 - OR - work HARD for 5 years and accumulate a sum of $750,000 after bills were paid, which would you chose? WHAT, you'd chose the 5 year plan? Does that make you a "Get Rich Quick Schemer?" Of couse not. The "Get Rich Quick Scheme" saying was comprised from a corrupt shrud "Slave Traders" who wish to keep you poor, ignorant and weak. The same crooks who slander against those who chose to become wealthy fast are the one who "play the lottery." Now who is the "Get Rich Quick Schemers?"

Weekend Transformation

Wow, what a powerful "spirit-moving" weekend this past week at Cornerstone Church with Pastors Bill & Tina Godair in Salisbury, NC. The personal Pastoral Staff session was life changing. And the two totally seperate Sunday morning services with two totally different crowds will be remembered for years to come. "Life Translation" was what God gave me to release in their lives - just for them. With more than 500 attending both services, the energy was intense. And the Leadership Definition class Sunday night was filled with tears, hearts and emotions that will linger in their souls for months to come. Exhausting, but to see the revolutionary response from some of the greatest people on the planet was well worth it.

You’ve heard the age old saying, “Winners never quit and Quitters never win.” Though the principle maybe true in one degree, but in simple truth, the saying is not true. Quite the contrary. True winners will quit a lot of things that they are not good at or a lot of things that hinder their single most definite purpose in life. Take most of the world famous athletes who climbed to the top of their game. Many if not most of them were good at a lot of sports. But they had to quit virtually all of them except the single one they became the best at. True “Winners” will have to quit many distracting things they would easily enjoy, but if they pander to the dozen’s of interrupting side lines, they would never have become the best at the one thing they are known as the best. Yes, you will have to QUIT most things in order to focus on ONE thing if you are to master that single most definite purpose in life. So, quit procrastinating and get to what you do best. So quit dealing with stupid things and concentrate on the few smart things. So quit conversating with negative people and only commune with the positive. You get my point?

Years ago an old wise man shared with me a fabulous proverb I have lived by to this day. He told me, "If you throw a rock towards a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one that got hit." What he was trying to say is that when someone confronts another about a questionable subject and the person instantly jumps to defend him self, then he usually is guilty. So many people who are 24/7 arguing against every accusation are usually guilty. Those who scream all the time of their innocence are the dog who got hit. If you are not guilty of what you are accused of, why engage in an argument? If that is their opinion, why invest so much energy trying to correct their wrong? Live life like you play chess. If you are attacked, don't invest your energy defending yourself if you are innocent, continue play your game. Stay on the offensive towards your goals and plans to succeed. Now if it is your family that is accusing you, then you have another issue to deal with (smile). That’s for another blog.

Character does matter

Back in the early 1990's when Bill Clinton was running for president, many of the "left wing" media covered for Clinton's exposure with his sexual expiates by suggesting “Character doesn’t matter” with regard to leadership. News organizations like CNN, NBC, CBS and the New York Times all reported the same mantra; “Character doesn’t matter.” After eight years of Clinton’s administration, being impeached for lying and a host of other “character” flaws, the media still turned their heads. However, after Clinton left office, the nation was slammed with one corruption after another from Wall Street and Corporate executives that to this day our nation is still suffering. Now in 2009 with over $10 Trillion in debt and twice that lost in scandals, corruption and fraud who would dare recant the mantra, “Character doesn’t matter?” Let me ask you, who would you rather stay and watch your 3 year old little girl, a man with no character, or a man with impeccable character? Yeah, I thought you’d say “Character DOES matter.”

Is this a Get Rich Quick Scheme?

I’ve had so many people through the years to ask or scoff, “Is this a get rich quick scheme?” What they are doing is simply reciting a mantra from skeptics and doubters about the possibility of economic success in their life time. Some attempt to ask, “Is this a non conventional way of becoming wealthy? Others are more pessimistic in asking, “Does your system or business plan require me to get off my couch and actually do something about my own economic future?” I used to answer by saying that it was not a get rich quick scheme and then try and explain the details of the business opportunity. However, I don’t do that anymore. For those who ask me, “Is this a get rich quick scheme?” I answer, “You better hope so, because you don’t have the time to get rich slow and long.” Truth is, you only have a few decades to become “rich.” And if you go the route that the “conventional” nay-Sayers propose, you’ll be working, still punching a clock at age 70.

The “One Income Source” job is MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction). Today, you need to have multiple sources of income. Do a quick Google search and find out that the wave of the future financial success will be from entrepreneurs, Home Based Businesses (HBB) and Multi-level Marketing (MLM) businesses. It is easy to get involved in a HBB or MLM enterprise today with little to no money out of pocket to start. Through entrepreneurial thinking, you can sell your talents, skills or knowledge to others by helping them succeed. For example, I put up $500 for a friend to remodel a boat which he did and then put it on eBay and we split the profit where I almost doubled my money. Another example, my son used his and my building knowledge to start a Home Inspection business that he inspects a house to two a month.
